Examining entrepreneurship and the effects of oil and gas prices can be characterized as challenging because of the limited number of studies completed on this topic. Although a significant body of literature has been created concerning entrepreneurship, few researchers have studied oil and gas entrepreneurship. This study is designed to research the effects of oil prices on small to midsized entrepreneurial enterprises in Trinidad from the perspective of entrepreneurs who are involved in the energy service companies of Trinidad. Interviews with key current entrepreneurs and a review of documents from journal articles, books, newspapers, dissertations, and the Internet are the basis for the findings and recommendations. Case study, as one of the qualitative methods, was selected to ensure a deep understanding of the effect on entrepreneurs of the change in oil prices.
