Adult Attachment as a Predictor of Intimate Relationship Sexual Behavior

owlby (1978) and Ainsworth (1982) theorized that infant-caregiver attachment styles influence a person's adult relational experiences and sexual intimacy over the life course. Structural equation modeling and Spearman's rank order correlations were employed to analyze data from 1,713 married and remarried participants who completed the Relationship Evaluation (RELATE), an online relationship assessment questionnaire, between 2008 and 2011.
