Abstract/Summary:
This collection of essays explore different socio-economic effects of homeownership and income inequality. The first essay argues that homeownership has a negative effect on geographic mobility and labor market outcomes. The second essay argues that, in contrast to previous findings, income inequality has a positive effect on public expenditures. Finally, the third essay explores the effects of the VA loan program on homeownership rates, geographic mobility and wage growth.
