An exploratory study was conducted investigating the Rorschach Comprehensive System's ability to predict sociopolitical and religious values. A review of sociopolitical and religious literature with regards to personality was conducted. A small but demographically diverse group of twenty-two graduate and undergraduate students participated and were administered the Rorschach and two 50-item questionnaires measuring sociopolitical and religious values. Bivariate correlations and linear regressions were performed on the resulting data along with post-hoc analyses. Results revealed a number of individual questionnaire items and subscales from each questionnaire to be statistically associated with the specific Rorschach variables under examination ( M, L, S, WSumC). The findings support a call for larger scale research investigating the Rorschach Comprehensive System's ability to reliably predict sociopolitical and religious values. |
