The genera Copablepharon Harvey and Protogygia McDunnough are revised. Lectotypes are designated for Copablepharon sanctaemonicae Dyar, Copablepharon grande (Strecker), and Protogygia querula (Dod). A neotype has been designated for Protogygia lagena (Grote).;Copablepharon includes 21 species in seven species groups as follows: Serratum group--C. serratum McDunnough, C. serraticorne A. Blanchard, C. gillaspyi A. Blanchard, C. longipenne Grote, C. nebraskensis sp. nov., and C. pictum sp. nov.; Mulkerni group--C. albisericeum A. Blanchard, C. mulkerni sp. nov., C. bicolor sp. nov., and C. lutescens sp. nov.; Flavum group--C. flavum sp. nov.; Canarianum group--C. canarianum McDunnough, C. contrastum McDunnough, and C. klitsum sp. nov.; Sanctaemonicae group--C. sanctaemonicae Dyar, and C. mojave sp. nov.; Grande group--C. grande (Strecker), Absidum group--C. absidum (Harvey), C. hopfingeri Franclemont, C. viridisparsum Dod, and C. bishopensis sp. nov.;The genus Protogygia McDunnough is divided into two subgenera: Archiharpia subgen. nov. for P. (A.) elevata (Smith), and Protogygia McDunnough for P. (P.) comstocki McDunnough, P. (P.) enlaga McDunnough, P. (P.) querula (Dod), P. (P.) lagena (Grote), P. (P.) pseudolagena sp. nov., P. (P.) rufescens sp. nov., and P. (P.) chionoptera sp. nov. Protogygia epipsilioides (Barnes & Benjamin) is regarded as a junior subjective synonym (new status) of Protogygia querula.;The genus Meiogygia gen. nov. is proposed. The five included species are: Protogygia milleri (Grote), P. biclavis (Grote), P. polingi (Barnes & Benjamin), Copablepharon alba (Harvey), and Meiogygia epigrypa sp. nov.;The monotypic genus Parablepharon gen. nov. is proposed for the species P. huachucensis sp. nov.;The genera Copablepharon, Parablepharon, and Meiogygia are placed in the tribe Agrotini of the subfamily Noctuinae. Protogygia is transferred to the Agrotini from the Aniclini.;All species are illustrated and keys to distinguish all taxa are given. Distribution maps and a reconstructed possible phylogeny of these taxa are included.
