A straightforward formula for (d ;The temperature and pressure dependences of the elastic constants of NaCl were measured using the ultrasonic pulse superposition technique. The present data are consistent with previous results for the ambient and first-order pressure and temperature derivatives. The measurements of the second-order pressure derivatives provide better agreement with theoretically predicted values than previous results.
