The effects of potassium promotion on CO hydrogenation were studied on Ni/SiO;Potassium decreased the rate of carbon hydrogenation on Ni/SiO;Temperature-programmed reaction of adsorbed CO with gas phase H;Potassium decreased the CO hydrogenation rate on the most and least active types of sites. Most of the potassium was located on the support for both Ni/SiO;This research was supported by the Department of Energy, Office of Basic Energy Sciences and the National Science Foundation. |
