| This dissertation is written to suggest the most useful and significant guidelines for the church today to evangelize the 3 million industrial workers in Taiwan. It seeks to combine anthropological and demographic approaches in studying church growth to deal with the unreached working class in Taiwan.; Based on the combination of these two approaches, this study attempts to deal with the major fields as follows: (1) the social change and the situation of the Church in Taiwan today; (2) the industrial workers and their urban setting; (3) the social-cultural functions hidden in the Taiwanese folk religion; (4) effective church growth principles for reaching the industrial workers; (5) significant guidelines for the churches to develop effective strategies for the purpose of evangelizing the industrial workers in the coming years. |
