THE EVANGELIZATION OF THE URBAN INDUSTRIAL WORKERS IN TAIWAN IN MISSIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES

This dissertation is written to suggest the most useful and significant guidelines for the church today to evangelize the 3 million industrial workers in Taiwan. It seeks to combine anthropological and demographic approaches in studying church growth to deal with the unreached working class in Taiwan.; Based on the combination of these two approaches, this study attempts to deal with the major fields as follows: (1) the social change and the situation of the Church in Taiwan today; (2) the industrial workers and their urban setting; (3) the social-cultural functions hidden in the Taiwanese folk religion; (4) effective church growth principles for reaching the industrial workers; (5) significant guidelines for the churches to develop effective strategies for the purpose of evangelizing the industrial workers in the coming years.
