Abstract/Summary:
This study examined the perceptions of teachers regarding the utilization of transformational leadership practices to effect change in their school's climate, teacher collaboration, and student achievement. Teachers' perceptions were used to provide insight as to whether or not the principal's use of transformational leadership practices had an impact upon change on the campus being studied. Kouzes and Posner's five leadership practices (Model the Way, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Enable Others to Act, Encourage the Heart, and Challenge the Process) were used as a theoretical framework to ascertain the principal's effectiveness in using transformational leadership practices to effect change on the campus.
