Due to the advantages of structural diversity,adjustability,porous framework and the interaction between framework and guest molecules,hence,zinc and cadmium coordination polymers are shown vast potential application in the fields of environmental pollutant adsorption and luminescence detection.In order to improve the chemical stabilities of zinc and cadmium coordination polymers and illustrate the effect of the interaction between host and guest on adsorption and luminescence e detection performance,realize the effective and quick detection and adsorption toward pollutants.Guided by coordination chemistry principle and topological analysis,eight zinc and cadmium coordination polymers 1–8 were synthesized by aromatic dicarboxylic acid(1,4–benzenedicarboxylic acid(H2bdc)),flexible aromatic tricarboxylic acids(3,5-bis(3'–carboxylbenzyl)oxy)benzoic acid(H3bcoba)and 3,5-bis((4'–carboxylbenzyl)–oxy)benzoic acid(H3bcob))with different numbers of aromatic rings and carboxyl acids,and flexible nitrogen heterocyclic ligands 5–(4–(1H–1,2,4–triazol–1–yl)benzyl)–1H–tetrazole(Httb))and 4–Methyl–N–((6–methoxypyridin–2–yl)methylene)aniline(MNA)via hydro/solvothermal method.Composite materials were producted on the basis of 1–5.The structures as well as detection and adsorption performances were tested by a series of testing methods.The relationship between the framework of the zinc or cadmium coordination polymers and adsorption/luminescence detection performances were explored deeply.Using 1,4–benzenedicarboxylic acid as organic ligand,1D coordination polymer{[Cd(bdc)(H2O)3]·4H2O}n(1)was synthesized.Through introducing nitrogen heterocyclic ligand MNA,another 1D coordination polymer{[Cd2(MNA)2(bdc)2(H2O)2]·5H2O}n(2)with larger conjugate system was synthesized.1 and 2 were grown on four flexible substrates containing melamine foam,carbon fiber cloth,glass cloth and plastic mesh by vacuum filtration,corresponding composite materials with flexibility and mechanical stability were obtained.Among them,2/melamine foam showed the highest PMs adsorption efficiencies,PM2.5:99.9%±0.3%,PM10:99.5%±0.4%.The excellent adsorption efficiency is attributed to the microporous structure,larger conjugate system,exposed metal centers in the electron cloud and lower pressure drop of 2.In addition,2/glass cloth was used to adsorb PMs in the exhaust gas,the adsorption efficiencies of both PM2.5 and PM10 are above 99.9%.Based on aromatic dicarboxylic acid,the flexible aromatic tricarboxylic acid ligands with higher symmetry were selected.According to the principle of“Reticularchemistry”,a2Dzinccoordinationpolymer{[Zn3(bcoba)2(H2O)2]·4DMA·2H2O}n(3)with kgd topology was synthesized.It has excellent acid/base stability and adsorption performance for ciprofloxacin.The mechanisms including electrostatic interaction,hydrophobic interaction,?–?stacking and hydrogen bonding interaction were studied deeply.3 was grown on the melamine foam(MF)by one–pot solvothermal method,3/MF showed enhanced ciprofloxacin adsorption capability.Moreover,the hydrophobic/oleophilic properties endow 3/MF with an exceptional oil adsorption ability(5077–13786wt%)towards various oils.3/MF could adsorb ciprofloxacin and oil imultaneously from water,and 3/MF showed good recyclability.In order to obtain higher–dimensional zinc coordination polymers,Under the guidance of topological analysis,two 3D zinc coordination polymers{[Zn2(bcob)(OH)(H2O)]·DMA}n(4)and{[Zn(Hbcob)]·(solvent)}n(5)with rod secondary structural units(SBUs)were synthesized by using flexible aromatic tricarboxylic acid ligand.Based on the interaction between frameworks and guest molecule,4 and 5 could adsorb and detect five antibiotics(tetracycline,nitrofurazone,nitrofurantoin,chloramphenicol and thiamphenicol)in water.Furthermore,the stability of 4 and 5 in different p H aqueous solutions were analysed in terms of structural robustness.4 and 5 were grown on the MF by one–pot solvothermal method,4/MF and 5/MF combined the advantages of microporous–macroporous materials,showing enhanced antibiotic adsorption capacity and showed good reusability.In order to increase the applicability of luminescence detection,two zinc coordination polymers[Zn(ttb)2(H2O)2]n(6)and{[Zn(ttb)2]·0.5CH3CN}n(7)were synthesized by using flexible nitrogen heterocyclic ligand,starting from the stability and the accessibility of active sites of the structure,coordination polymer[Zn(ttb)(bdc)0.5]n(8)was synthesized.Thanks to the energy transfer mechanism,8exhibits sensitive and selective fluorescence quenching to TNP,LOD was 0.04?M.Thanks to the competitive absorption mechanism,8 exhibits ensitive and selective response to Fe3+ions and Cr2O72-ions,LOD were 0.13?M and 0.10?M,respectively.
