Study On The Roots Of The Loss Of Contemporary Chinese Architecture’s Delicate Detail

Since the1980s, great progress has been m ade in the construction field in China,and the construction level has been signi ficantly increased. Bu t for the exquisitedegree on the building, compared with traditional building and foreign building, manynormal constructions are at far backward pos ition, the main reason is the missing ofexquisite architectural details.The probl em seriously has been restricting thedevelopment of dom estic architecture furt her to the high level a rchitecture. Thepurpose of this thesis is to analyze the missing phenomenon of exquisite details on theconstruction in contemporary China, to reveal its causes and the social roots, and toprovide a theoretical basis to solve this problem.Social transfor mation is the background in social developm ent and is also anunavoidable rea lity to analyz e the contem porary so cial issu es in China. T hearchitecture, as a focus of social co ntradictions, are influenced by the s ocial conflictcausing by the social transformation. Therefore, from visual angle of sociological andthe point of the social changes during the social transformation, the thesis analyzes theproblems of the m issing of exquisite detail s on contem porary Chinese architecture,and trying to grasp them from macro to micro-level comprehensive, and discoveringof the problem fundamentally.The thesis thinks th at the m issing of the fine details is caused by the varioussocial factors, not jus t by the m istakes of architectural design, after the analysis ofthe current situation during the whole process of the de tails design-maintenance indomestic architecture market. Under this pr emise, the thesis introduces sociologicaltheory of social transform ation, analyzes the changes of the econom ic, political andcultural activities in social transformation processes and their influences on de tails,draws the conclusion th at the changes of the social values during the transform ationmake the missing of fine details. On this ba sis, in depth and particularly the thesisapproaches the subject of the social root s of the m issing of the fine details onconstruction in contemporary China through analyzing the contradictions between thebasic motive of promoting of technology, systems and concept in social developm entduring the transform ation, and the m arket economy developm ent. Finally, in theconclusion section, the thesis, in brief, su bmits some constructive coping strategiesfrom the two aspects of the external social environment construction and architect ofvocational development according to the prob lems and contrad ictions found in th eresearch process.
