Stamping welding hydraulic torque converter is widely used in wheeled vehicles,construction machinery and other fields.It is core components of hydraulic transmission.The existing design method of torque converter cascade system was mostly aimed at the casting torque converter and not suitable for the cascade system design of the stamping welding hydraulic torque converter.A design method combining performance simulation and forming control was proposed,which included cascades geometry modeling,flow field analysis and stamping process analysis.And based on this method to establish an Optimization platform.The method improved the design efficiency and accuracy of stamping cascade system.Based on the analysis of the structure of stamping cascade system,the geometrical modeling method of cascade system considering stamping process was proposed.This method included flat oval stamping circular model and blade geometric model with drawbead,and achieved parametric design of stamping cascade system.The influence of blade thickness,drawbead structure form and stator circular shape on the performance of torque converter was studied by flow field analysis model.It provides the theoretical support for the design of stamping welding hydraulic torque converter cascade system.According to the stamping process requirements,the blank shape of wheel ring and blade were obtained based on inverse approach.Different drawing forms based on wheel ring and blade structure are proposed,and established the stamping analysis process model.The dynamic explicit algorithm was used to simulate the stamping process.The result of forming limit,thickness distribution and stress distribution were shown by the simulation,and provided the theoretical basis for the design of cascade system.According to the characteristics of insufficient plastic deformation of the blade during the stamping process,the static implicit algorithm was used to analyze the springback of the blade.The relationship between the blade deformation and the drawbead structure as well as that between the blade deformation and the mould clearance were obtained.Through the mould clearance adjustment and springback compensation,blade springback was controlled.At last,the model characteristics of springback control were verified by CFD analysis.The parametric geometry modeling of cascade system,flow field simulation and the stamping process analysis of cascade were combined to establish an integrated design platform for the cascade system of stamping welding hydraulic torque converter.An example was given by the platform.According to the example,prototype manufacturing and test verification were carried out.The results shown that the design prototype could meet the performance requirements and verified the feasibility of the design method.
