China is a vegetable production power,and the largest vegetable protected cultivation country,where vegetables of 386 acres are cultivated with facilities.However,its further development has been restricted by the continuous cropping barrier.Grafting is the most effective measure to deal with this problem.Nevertheless,mechanization and automatization are emergent to be implemented in the progress of grafting,for the lack of the labor force has been more and more obvious together with the development of modern agriculture.Several kinds of automatic grafting machines have been developed at home and abroad,but these machines are mainly focusing on the manipulating of single seedlings,which is one of the restrictions for the efficiency.In order to improve the production efficiency as well as the automation level,systematic researches on the simultaneous grafting for a whole seedling tray were carried out in this dissertation,taking the solanaceae seedlings as the manipulating object,meanwhile certain successful rate was ensured.The primary research contents and results are as follows.First of all,tube-grafting method was adopted based on the analysis of a variety of grafting ways,and the standard of the tubes is determined.Secondly,empirical analysis for the realizing of mechanized tube-grafting was conducted,and the device for grafting single seedling with tube is designed and optimized.Experiments were carried in order to prove the feasibility of manipulating single seedling with the selected tubes,as well as the possibility of grafting the whole tray with this kind of tubes,and the result showed the successful rate can reach 90%.Thirdly,the overall scheme of the entire tray grafting for the solanaceae seedlings were researched and designed,as well as its overall layout,and the workflow and the multiple tasks' assigning for the project were ascertained.Fourthly,the transfer system for the stocks and scions of this project was studied,and the locating method the seedlings in the tray was analyzed.The theory of orientating theory based on Descartes and Polar coordinates were employed in the locating&holding device,which is using the gear transmission method.The key parts were designed and analyzed by data measures,and simulations and field experiments were carried out to demonstrate that the developed equipment can effectively locate and hold the seedlings in a tray.Fifthly,theoretical analysis and practical tests were implemented in the researches of the cutting characteristics for the solanaceae seedlings,and the advantages for the sliding cutting and oblique cutting were argued.Both of the two cutting methods were employed in the studying and designing of the "fully-automatic grafting system for the entire tray solanaceae seedlings",and the parameterized theory analysis were conducted by "one VS six" cutting tactics,of which 45 degree was obtained as the optimal inclination angle for the cutting blade for the studied grafting system.Sixthly,the automatic tube transmission machine was studied and designed,and automatic tube supplying device based on the vibration plate and the intermittent tube-giving set,which can intermittently provide tubes depending on task requirements with a successful rate of 100%.In addition,a whole-tray-tubes preparation equipment which can provide an array of tubes for a specific size of a tray,a whole-tray-tubes fetching equipment,which can take an array of tubes from the preparation equipment,and a tubes-holding&putting equipment,which can hold and put the tubes on the stocks to finally realize the grafting fixed function were researched and developed.Seventhly,automatic grafting control system was researched,designed and built based on Omron PLC of CP1H series.Furthermore,programing for automatic controlling was conducted using the module programing technology,and the core function was also introduced and analyzed in this dissertation.Eighthly,experiments for the fully automatic solanaceae seedlings grafting system were carried out.As a result,giving well cultivating seedling with highly consistency,the grafting system can process 2,000 seedlings per hour with a successful rate of 70%,which means it can meet the design requirements.
