In the western region of China,especially in the western frontier provinces,the damage caused by wind erosion has become increasingly prominent,which has become a thorny problem to puzzle the regional development.In order to further study the problem of wind erosion of surface soil in the western frontier area and explore the effect of wind erosion prevention and control measures,the most scientific and effective measure is to carry out in situ experimental study of wind erosion on the surface of soil.Portable wind tunnel is an important tool for in situ study of soil wind erosion.The performance tests and field tests show that the designed poetable wind tunnel can be used as a research equipment for soil wind erosion research in China.There are few attempts to explore portable wind erosion wind tunnels in China.This paper summarizes the design and manufacture of portable soil wind erosion wind tunnel,and completes the construction of poratable soil wind erosion wind tunnel in cooperation with Custom Products Company of the United States.The performance tests and field tests show that the designed mobile wind tunnel can be used as a research equipment for soil wind erosion research in China.The design and application work is summarized as follows:1.The design and construction of a portable wind tunnel for soil erosion consists of an experimental section,a rectification section and a power section.The shape parameters are as follows:the total length is 11 m,the experimental section is 3.6 m,the extension section is 3.6 m,the experimental section is a bottomless rectangular section,the height is 0.6m,the width is 0.5m.The compression ratio of the wind tunnel transition section is 1.5,the energy ratio is 0.552,the wind tunnel design wind speed is 0-20m s-1,controlled by the Y500-X0075G3 frequency converter,to achieve continuous adjustable in the speed range,the wind speed error isą0.1m s-1.The supporting motor is Y132S-2 three-phase asynchronous motor,powered by Changchai ZS1115 diesel generator with calibrated power of 16.2KW.2.The wind tunnel structure is designed for three detachable sections,which are composed of the main section,the experimental section and the extended section of the experimental section.Flexible disassembly can be realized between each section,and the disassembly can be carried out in the special car of the wind tunnel for long-distance transportation.The self-movable chassis is designed,so that the mobility of the wind tunnel is not only dismountable and can be carried outside the laboratory,but also enables the wind tunnel to have the ability of rapid transfer between diverse places,which greatly improves the efficiency of field experiments.3.The design of the special carriage of the wind tunnel meets the demand of safe transportation of the disassembled parts of the wind tunnel,solves the problems of long-distance transportation and idle storage of the wind tunnel,reduces the risk of damage in the process of wind tunnel transportation,and improves the service life of the wind tunnel.4.The test results show that the airflow in the wind tunnel test section is stable,and the maximum wind speed can reach 27 m s-1,which meets the wind speed design requirements of 20 m s-1.Wind speed profile showed logarithmic law,and the fitting coefficient was greater than 0.99,which was in line with the characteristics of near-surface natural wind regime and met the requirements of wind erosion experiments.5.Five land types were selected for the field application of mobile wind tunnel in the Mongolian-Shaanxi border area,and the wind erosion ability of different land types was tested.Based on the experimental results,the reasons for the difference of wind erosion resistance of different surface and the change of wind erosion amount of sample land under the same wind speed are analyzed.The relationship between soil wind erosion rate and wind speed conforms to the classical cubic power function.The design and construction of mobile wind tunnel can meet the requirements of wind erosion research.
