It is an important significance which ensure the harvest of agricultural and forestry products by plant protection operations to prevent and control of plant diseases,pests and weeds in the process of agricultural and forestry production.The boom sprayer is one of the important plant protection tools.It is widely and efficiently used in plant protection operations.With the development of science and technology,the boom sprayer’s structure and performance have been constantly optimized and improved.Moreover,the boom sprayer is the research hotspot of plant protection machinery.However,with the diversified development of agricultural and forestry products,the existing boom sprayer only performs plant protection operations with conventional parameters for field crops.It is difficult to adapt to the protection of agricultural and forestry plant that needs various plant cultivation types through its own reconfiguration.The research of boom sprayer is developing towards intelligence with the development of science and technology,the enhancement of human environmental protection awareness,the promotion effect of artificial intelligence development and the development strategy requirements of intelligent agriculture in the "Notice of the New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan" of China.The market increasingly needs a boom sprayer that can adjust its posture based on the shape of crops,such as fields,fences and forests,and perform prescription spraying application.Therefore,researching an multifunctional intelligent boom sprayer that can meet the farmers individual needs,achieve the intelligence of boom sprayers and get the requirements of green manufacturing,has gradually become the development trend of boom sprayers.The intelligent boom sprayer should be able to realize accurate and variable spraying application of pesticides or fertilizers to adapt to different operating environments and objects through reconfiguring its software/hardware modules.It can meet the green manufacturing requirements by emphasizing the reuse and optimized configuration of the existing resources to reduce the products total cost,improve the economic products benefits and pay attention to the sustainable development of the ecological environment,in the boom sprayer company.Product starts with design.The research on the design process of intelligent boom sprayer has an important theoretical and practical guiding significance for playing product advantages and achieving green manufacturing goals by guiding the reuse and optimal configuration of enterprise resources.The study should construct a green design method to promote ecological sustainable development and intelligent agriculture realization.Brownfield Process is a product design method aimed at mass customization for the modular product family based on Design Research Methodology.This method focuses on the reuse of the enterprise existing resources and inheriting the scientific rigor and accuracy of the Design Research Methodology.Through reconfigurable theory,modular technology and standardization technology,the connotation,characteristics and components of the intelligent boom sprayer are clarified.The applicability analysis of intelligent boom sprayer design with Brownfield Process has been completed based on the connotation and characteristics of the intelligent boom sprayer.On the basis of applicability analysis,Preferable Brownfield Process design process has been constructed to meet the design and development requirements of intelligent boom sprayer by improving Brownfield Process.The Brownfield Process optimization research work used axiomatic design as the main optimization support theory of the design process,and the key route method and ECRS method as auxiliary optimization theories.The components of Preferable Brownfield Process and the communication mechanism between them are studied.System hierarchy of intelligent boom sprayer has been analyzed by using interpretation structure model.Model of Brownfield Process and Preferable Brownfield Process have been constructed by using system dynamics,and analyzed them by using Vensim PLE software.Product design guidance process has been developed by using Visual Studio 2017 and Creo4.0 software through multilevel hierarchical structure of intelligent boom sprayer as theoretical guidance.Product data system has been developed using Office Access 2016 and Visual Basic software through Preferable Brownfield Process as theoretical guidance.Forming a preliminary design platform development through product design guidance process and product data system.The control strategy of intelligent boom sprayer was briefly analyzed.Meanwhile,an evaluation index system of intelligent boom sprayer was constructed based on Business Impact Analysis model in Brownfield Process.Through the analysis of difference between the intelligent boom sprayer and boom sprayer,intelligent boom sprayer has a series of competitive advantages which can get a competitive advantage based on time,quality and cost for the enterprise,realize the goal of energy saving and emission reduction of the enterprise,effectively adapt to a variety of geographical environments for spraying application,improve the utilization rate of pesticides and reduce the harm to the environment caused by using of pesticide,realize the spraying application of various cultivation forms of farming operations,extend product life cycle by means of module innovation and replacement,expand and upgrade modules through open architecture,reduce the economic burden of farmers to use products by sharing economy adjustment,etc.The system dynamics model simulation results of Brownfield Process and Preferable Brownfield Process show that Preferable Brownfield Process is more suitable for the development and design of intelligent boom sprayer than Brownfield Process.The design efficiency of the Preferable Brownfield Process is increased by about 40%,and personnel training time can be saved by about 50%.The study of the Preferable Brownfield Process system dynamics model provides a method and idea for Preferable Brownfield Process to adapt to different design environments and optimize.This paper takes the intelligent boom sprayer boom module as an example to illustrate the Preferable Brownfield Process design process and demonstrate the promotion of development and design platform to the design process.The evaluation of the multifunctional shiftable boom intelligent sprayer shows the feasibility,practicability and effectiveness of the evaluation system.The paper enriches the theoretical system of the boom sprayer design,develops the Brownfield Process theory and its application fields,forms a Preferable Brownfield Process ecodesign method and rapid ecodesign platform for the intelligent boom sprayer reconfigurable modular ecodesign,and constructs the intelligent boom sprayer reconfigurability evaluation index system,etc.It provides a new idea and method for scientific guidance and the rapid development design of reconfigurable products as intelligent boom sprayer.
