The thesis seizes the central topic of the narrative evolution and rheology of novels on the Cultural Revolution, investigate the diachronic development and characteristics of novels on the Cultural Revolution in three different periods. First of all, summarize the characteristics presented by the narrative content, narrative methods and narrative focus of every stage of the Cultural Revolution narrative; Secondly,analyse influence factors on the rheology of the Cultural Revolution narrative in different stages, in addition to analysis of novels on the Cultural Revolution of each stage and their narrative characteristics and the reasons for narrative evolution, while focusing on the macro analysis to explore the formation reasons of these narrative types and narrative features of different times and different stages.Specifically, study influence factors on these different narrative forms of novels on the Cultural Revolution (author's idea of history, literature aesthetic standards, ideology, market and readers), whether these Cultural Revolution narratives present some regular features under the constraint of different factors (such as intergeneration, ideology). Meanwhile, take the Western narrative of Auschwitz as a reference, base on chinese contemporary cultural context, analyse the general rules and gains and losses of development and evolution of the Cultural Revolution narrative, that is, what new factors and important values this novel phenomenon brings to new period literature from the aspects of the narrative form, idea of history, literature idea, thoughts value etc. Moreover, take this as coordinate, reflect the limits and difficulties and possible extent dimension of Chinese Cultural Revolution narrative by the differences of literary beliefs, values demands and narrative strategies.The part of introduction describes the core concepts related to topics, the history and current situation of topic reseach and the breakthroughs and innovations in this paper, as well as the overall framework and research ideas of this paper.Chapter?, mainly seize the political culture, the dominant factor affecting Cultural Revolution narrative in the early days of new period, analyse narrative form and narrative features of novels on Cultural Revolution in the early days of new period(around 1977-1985). Mainstream discourse makes historical determination and political orientation by resolutions and documents to form the standards of Cultural Revolution comprehension and narrative, thus affect the limits and depth of writer's Cultural Revolution narrative. This chapter refers to Cultural Revolution narrative in early days of new period from the standpoint of political culture,analyse how political culture with highly ideological nature affects writer's creative psychology, sets the limits, narrative features and aesthetic style of Cultural Revolution narrative.Chapter?, seize two important factors of new period literature, transition in the middle 1980s and the wake of writer's subject consciousness.analyse the narrative way and narrative focus of Cultural Revolution narrative with this backgroud. It is believed that literature represented by roots novels and vanguard novels subverts Cultural Revolution writing which maintains a high degree of consistency with the ideology, the topic is no longer to prove and echo the mainstream discourse norms, not to take exposure and criticism as value orientation, and to play down the topic showing a high degree of symbolization and allegorization; In the performance and techniques of literature.the Cultural Revolution which acts as great history and stories'main plot, gradually transits to novel background, fragmented traces, absurd and distorted history, historical and realistic Cultural Revolution gradually turns to be mentalistic,peceptive,allegorized and symbolized Cultural Revolution.Chapter?, comb the form and features of the Cultural Revolution narrative of writer diverse in multicultural Context since the mid-90s. Analyse the new changes of this period novels on Cultural Revolution presented in narrative structure, narrative perspective, narrative language, and narrative focus and value demands and so on.Chapter?, mainly study different features presented in Cultural Revolution narrative of writers born in three different periods of 1950s?1960s and 1970s from the perspective of culture differences between generations. Because of their different historical experiences?cultural education and knowledge systems, they form intergenerational cultural psychology, value sense, and thus affect aesthetic trend and narrative paradigm with intergenerational difference in literary narrative, this chapter focus on the relation between intergenerational cultural differences and the dividing line of Cultural Revolution narrative, analyses different intergenerational narrative approaches and characteristics, attempts to show the differences of different generations dealing with Cultural Revolution narrative and their superiorities and gains and losses through the comparative perspective of intergenerational culture. Chapter?, comprenhensively study the difference of writer's Cultural Revolution narrative from the perspective of writer's historical view. Historical view formed by People's notions about social and historical trends, evolution rules, the origin of the history affects many writers' understanding of the Cultural Revolution and their ways of literary expression. This chapter reviews several representative historical views, and analyse the effects caused by these historical views on writers' expression of literature discourse modes ("the historical changes of people discourse") and the knowledge of historical origins("the view about the historical origin of Cultural Revolution and the evolution of blame way").Chapter?, it plays an important role in witnessing historical truth and social catastrophe and showing literature's witness function and narrative tradition from the view of the function and meaning of Cultural Revolution narrative.This chapter mainly discusses whether novels as fictional art witness history, why they witness history and how they witness history.Chapter?, the "Cultural Revolution" and World War II's "Auschwitz" as social disasters, belong to important social events in 20th century which is called "extreme ages" by historian Eric Hobsbawm, the thoughts and narratives of Auschwitz of western intellectual community and literature have formed their own relative mature tradition and dimension.This chapter puts chinese Cultural Revolution narrative in the coordinate of world literature, take Auschwitz narrative as frame of reference to reflect the traits and difficulties and limits of Chinese Cultural Revolution narrative, and discuss possible extent dimension of Cultural Revolution narrative.In conclusion, overlook Cultural Revolution narrative of new period novels for macro issues, analyse ways and angles presented in contemporary writers and intellectual community describing Cultural Revolution, further analyse the difficulties and limitations of Cultural Revolution narrative, discuss how Chinese writers imagine and describe Cultural Revolution by the inspiration of western literature.
