As one of the leading characters of the thought of textual research during the Qian-jia Period,Zhao Yi was a knowledge comprehensive historian with capability of argumentation,textual research and Writing.He could researched,argued and wrote historial work,played an important role in the Qian-jia Period and academic history of China.He had a far-reaching influence on both 20th-century Chinese historians and foreign scholars.Exploring the historical ideology of Zhao Yi is helpful to carry forward Chinese traditional culture,identify the basic rule of the development of Chinese history and reveal the development of Chinese historiography.It also provides ideological resources for the contemporary historians to construct historiography theory with Chinese style.Zhao Yi had many works,among which More than Gai Yu Cong Kao and the Reading Notes on the Twenty-two Histories were most typical.The relationship between them was very complicated,which could be roughly divided into four kinds:the latter based on the former;the former and the latter complementing each other;the latter correcting the former;the two independent of each other.As one of intellectuals of the Han ethnic group,who was Under the rule of ethnic minority.Zhao Yi showed the attitude of hesitation and indecision to the Qing Dynasty.He singed in praise to the Qing government in a dominant fashion.On the other hand,he also severely criticized the government in an implicit way.This kind of contradictory psychology and behavior was affected by a variety of factors,such as cruel Literary inquisition,firm professional integrity,intellectuals' self-confidence for his age,and so on.Although belonging to two different academic genres,Zhao Yi and Zhang Xuecheng showed a conspicuous similar personality,style and destiny in academic.They were also common in the historian subject cultivation,historical views and avenue of History,etc.Both of them are prudent in academic,wide in vision,with modern historiography thought.Many historians of the 20th century had a high regard for Zhao Yi.Chen Yuan whose research path focus on empirical evidence was influenced in depth by Qian-jia school.Among them,the scholar who had influenced earliest and most sustained to him was Zhao Yi.Guo Shi Da Gang which had the means of culture and nation by Qian Mu plagiarized or referenced writings written by Zhao Yi in many aspects including stylistic rules and layout,implication,historical materials,narrative thinking and literal expression.The Chinese ancient historian who had discussed the social transition in the period between the Tang and Song dynasties most clearly,most accurately,most systematically and had strongest spirit consciousness was Zhao Yi.His thoughts of"Tang-song Transition" and "Tang-song Historiography Transition" influenced Naito konan,who had plagiarized Zhao Yi's thoughts in many ways including core thesis,specific views,argumentation logic,narrative ways and literal expression.
