The technique is the methods of the realization of the art,including printmaking.Because printmaking is closely related with the science and technology,thehistory of printmaking art can also be understood as a history of technology.Presently,printmaking art is witnessing profound changes,on the one hand,digital technology are actively used in creation,digital printmaking arises at thehistoric moment.On the other hand,a large number of works with the technicalattributes of printing have appeared.In this regard,we have to asking what kindof technique of printmaking is? For this purpose,we need to go back to the development of Chinese modern printmaking technique.Under the special historical background,Chinese modern woodcut came to thestage of history and became the mainstream form of printmaking technique.After the establishment of PRC,the Communist Party's systematic design of fine arts causes the printmakers to explore the technique of intaglio andlithography.When political criticism retreated from art,the expectation ofreturning to art encouraged the printmakers' technical practice,and finallyformed the diversified technical pattern of Chinese printmaking with four editions.In the evolution of technique from one to more,political will andmodern technology are the development factors of printmaking art.As the task ofthe era,the proletarian revolutionary decided that the modern woodcut was anartistic practice that followed the political demands.Through the critique of ideology,personal skills are strictly obey the principle of realism.Everyadjustment of the party's policy on literature and art affects the development andchange of printmaking technique.The absence of modern printing technology ledto woodcut being used as a practical reproduction technique during the war.The restoration of the printing industry has caused the creators to refocus on the artof printmaking,and fully mobilize the media tools and other technical elementsto explore the unique aesthetic value of printmaking,which has become the onlyway to recast the art of printmaking.Since the 1990 s,the popularity of computers has provided new tools for print creation.Influenced by western contemporaryart,modern technology,mainly digital technology,has been used for print creation.The emergence of digital printmaking reflects the reconstruction of print by modern technology.That reconstruction also mirrors the fundamentalproposition of the technology age-the transformation of technology to humanbeings.In the face of the possibility that people are ruled by technology,we canonly hope that art can rediscover the existence of people "in common" with the world.As the art of it is the existence of this existence.This kind of existence canonly exist in art,which is regarded as body technique.Opening the perceptual andnon objective experience which is increasingly closed by technological rationalitywith body perception,attaching the operation of external tools to people's own consciousness,such technology is our summon to the future art.
