Reason And Gantong: A Confrontation Ideas Between Zhongshi And Xishi In The Tian Zhu Shi Yi

In the text of the Tian Zhu Shi Yi,the author set "zhongshi" and "xishi" as the two sides of the dialogue,and started the dialogue on the original view,the soul view,the theory of doing good and ethics.In this dialogue,we find that although the missionary position of Xishi is very clear,he resorted to reasoning argument;Zhongshi,it seems that he was born by design,but in the dialogue with zhongshi,he always maintained a kind of doubt-self-defense.From this point of view,it is obviously biased to simply define Zhongshi as born by the author.However,the extent to which the Zhongshi can represent the position of the people at that time is a matter of different opinions,which needs further historical research and text analysis.This is not the main purpose of this paper.This paper still regards the two sides of the dialogue as the main body originated from different living situations,experiences and ways of thinking in China and the west,and presents their respective ideological perspectives and living order in the text analysis,that is,the zhongshi's perspective of Gantong and his life order of destiny,nature and reason,as well as the West's rational perspective and his life order of God and reason.Because the domain of God and soul involved in the text of the true meaning of God belongs to religious issues,and the presentation of the domain is given in the philosophical sense,the understanding and analysis of the text needs both religious observation perspective and philosophical thinking method.From the perspective of method,religion pays more attention to the belief emotion problems in existence,while philosophy pays more attention to the rationality idea problems.Therefore,we need to pay full attention to the interweaving and tension between rationality and belief in life,and focus on analyzing the significance of various emotions and ideas emerging in life.In terms of content,this study focuses on the issue of "the dispute between the starting point of Zhongshi and Xishi' thoughts and the survival order".Therefore,based on the detailed text research,this paper presents the ideological confrontation between the Zhongshi and Xishi's on these issues from the aspects of the two sides'original theory,and the soul theory,the theory of doing good and the ethics that other researchers rarely systematically enter into the text.It should be pointed out that when presenting the main content of the text,this paper focuses more on presenting the fundamental differences between Chinese and western epistemology in related issues,in order to try to promote the exploration of how the ideological dialogue between China and the west can deepen to a more substantive level.Based on the analysis,it gradually presents the differences of epistemological paths between Zhongshi and Xishi and the reality of the objects presented in different meanings.While Gantong epistemology,it also highlights the significance and value of ideological dialogue between Zhongshi and Xishi in existentialism.To some extent,this paper does not outline the different ways of thinking between China and the West in a simple sense,but with the help of the text,presents the differences in the starting point of thinking between the two sides,and runs through the full text.The key to the dialogue between the two sides is not the dispute of ideas,but the dispute of the starting point of survival.Only when we return to the original point of argument,can we make a better understanding of the level of dialogue between China and the west,and the depth and breadth of the dialogue.At the same time,it tries to make up for the deficiency of the previous research on zhongshi's epistemology,and puts forward the epistemological dimension of zhongshi's "Gantong epistemology".At the same time,it also pays attention to the existing tension and dilemma in the frequent "inter subjectivity"dialogue in the current world.Based on the reflection of the original dialogue text between Chinese and Westerners,and combined with the current perspective,it attempts to give such an answer:dialogue can not only stay in the conceptual duel or debate,What's more,we need to consciously perceive and promote the epistemological problems and existential concerns of the objects presented by both sides in the emotional dimension,which may help the dialogue between China and the west to enter the "substantive" level.
