“Nations perish if the four virtues are not manifested”,“A man without virtue is not far off ”.Morality is vital importance to national survival and individual development.Morality is based on cultivation,as for the difficulty of moral cultivation,the Chinese and foreign sages have been constantly thinking and practicing to try to solve this problem,thus forming a rich and colorful moral cultivation thoughts and practical wisdom,which provides rich ideological resources and historical experience for our moral cultivation today.In the long process of the Chinese educational development,the Song dynasty is a crucial historical period.The moral cultivation thoughts of neo-confucianism in the Song dynasty,"to the great extent,to the utmost extent,summarize the thoughts of several generations ",is the fruits and important signs of the educational thoughts development.The neo-confucianism thoughts of moral cultivation in Song dynasty provided the subject thought and moral speech for the Chinese society in the Song dynasty and even after that,and also provided the cultural belief of cultivating one's morality for the Chinese.This research has important practical significance.However,the Song dynasty neo-confucianism scholars' s thoughts of moral cultivation is still unsatisfactory,which provids the space of innovation,this is also the academic value of this study.The innovations lie in: first,it puts forward a viewpoint that the implementation and dissemination of neo-confucianism education thought of moral cultivation in Song dynasty which profoundly affects the cultural and psychological structure and national characteristics of the Chinese;The second is to build a research framework,that is,the Song dynasty neo-confucianism education thought of moral development as a complete ideological system,pay attention to its integrity and uniqueness while focusing on its historical implication and practical value excavation;Three is suggest,on the moral cultivation of the Song dynasty neo-confucianism reassess education thought of life value and the reasonable transformation,provide perfect and innovation of the present moral education theory with important historical reference and theoretical support.This paper through the literature research,historical research,comparative study,case study method,mainly around the question: why Song dynasty Confucian thoughts of moral cultivation force against a moral landslide,successfully realize the virtue?This study is divided into three parts:The first part answers "what is the thought of moral education of neo-confucianism scholars in song dynasty".By analyzing the widely used concepts of "neo-confucianism in song dynasty" and "moral cultivation ",the characteristics and connotation of moral cultivation are determined.Adopting intellectual history,Zhuan Ti Shi research framework,and through the Zhou Dunyi,Shao Yung,Zhang Zai,Cheng Hao,Cheng Yi,Wang Anshi,Zhu Xi and Lu Jiuyuan,Zhang Shi,Song dynasty Confucian moral cultivation thought analysis,induction and summary,answered the moral cultivation of the song dynasty neo-confucianism is what exactly is the problem with education,to find the moral cultivation of the song dynasty neo-confucianism stage characteristics and the overall trend in the development of education.The second part answers "why is it necessary and possible to develop the educational thought of neo-confucianism in song dynasty".First of all,from the political,economic,cultural,scientific and technological aspects of the Song dynasty neo-confucianism education thought of the creation of the environment,in order to depict the song dynasty neo-confucianism education thought of the creation of the environment,and then reveal the historical rationality of the production of neo-confucianism education thought of the song dynasty.Secondly,it analyzes the profound influence of neo-confucianism education thought on the society of song dynasty,and expounds its era influence and historical implication.Finally,"how is it possible to develop moral education in the new era" is answered.Song dynasty Confucian morality education thought,though there are historical limitations,but still full of khalid tree of wisdom and education the grain of truth,for today's education provides important enlightenment: to focus on life education can well solve the fundamental problem of morality and answer today's moral education pertinence is not strong,methods,problems such as obsolete stereotype;Moral education should take into account the dual effects of moral subject's internal consciousness and legal norms' external constraint.Moral education should not exclude the utilitarian pursuit with moral ideal as the value orientation,but integrate the two into one.The power of role models in moral education should not be ignored;Moral cultivation should be the unity of "moral practice" and "practical morality",and the implementation of moral cultivation must adhere to national characteristics and cultural standpoint.
