The motivation of this research is to think about and re-recognize the Hunan regional landscape paintings,to focus on the landscape paintings with Nanyue Mount Heng theme.Nanyue Mount Heng(short for Mount Heng)combines the three identities of "one of the Sacred Mountains ","Mount of Longevity" and "regional landscape".This thesis takes landscape painting as an entry point to explore the origin of the aesthetic generation and humanistic spirit of "Nan Yue Mount Heng",which helps to clarify the cultural context of Mount Heng and would be a good enlightenment for the research of regional landscape painting.By combining the historical background of the Mount Heng culture and Xiao Xiang culture,explore the development process of this specific theme of landscape painting,studies its cultural background and construction mechanism of different stage,at last analyze in deep the aesthetic connotation of this landscape painting theme,reveal the internal logical relationship between the culture,region and aesthetic construction,in order to interpret the aesthetic taste and cultural memory.Except for the introduction,this thesis is divided into five parts:?.We hope to clarify the cultural origin and the artistic expression of the aesthetic construction of Mount Heng.By sorting out the development of mountain and river culture,and the landscape art's initial stage,we try to revert the historical context of Mount Heng landscape art evolution via the perspectives of culture,literati and works.The purpose is to explore the aesthetic origin of the landscape painting under Mount Heng theme.?.We would like to discuss the human-nature relationship in terms of physical geography.Firstly,we will analyze the geographical relationship between the Mount Heng and the Xiang River,and the humanistic relationship,in other words,the mutual appreciation between man and nature of this region;secondly,we would like to compare and analyze the similarities and differences of Mount Heng and Xiang River in the aesthetic consciousness of landscape painting and their style characteristics.From three aspects,which are geography,humanities,and art works,we would like to reveal the poetics of Mount Heng theme landscape painting works which is influced by the Xiang River culture aesthetics.?.We would analyze the aesthetic rise of Mount Heng theme landscape paintings and its voyage-note characteristic and longevity characteristic.Our research objects are landscape paintings on the themes of 72 Peaks and the Mount of Longevity.We will analyze the relationship of the theme and the motif via several aspects such as cultural background,content,form,expression method,etc.With a large number of works as examples,we try to analyze the functional meaning and stylistic characteristics of the works by researching the humanistic environment and creative motives of the artists,in order to further study the generation mechanism and recipient groups of the Mount Heng theme landscape paintings,so as to explore the humanism spirit presented in aesthetics construction of the works.?.This part focuses on the analysis of the transformation and the aesthetic content of modern landscape painting.Firstly,we will classify the modern landscape paintings of Mount Heng theme as four different parts: theme of the Mount of Longevity,theme of the Mount Zhu Rong,clouds and pine trees,the theme of famous peaks and scenic spots,the theme of seventy-two.Secondly,we combine the overall observation and the case study.The overall observation focuses on the representation of images in schema of modern landscape paintings,and the case study focuses on famous artists' Mount Heng sketches and creation.We analyze from multiple levels such as content,form,meaning,style,etc.,to understand the chronical characteristics of aesthetic construction,as well as the potential factors of the diversification trend of creation materials and themes.?.This part is a summary for inner motivation and generation mechanism of the schema of the Mount Heng theme landscape paintings.We will outline the composition and characteristics of Mount Heng theme landscape paintings schema,integrate and demonstrate the visual,spiritual,and stylistic characteristics of the reproduced image,and then from the meaning and function of landscape painting,we try to present the inner motivation which bring the generation of landscapes painting's schema,what's more we will research for the social,cultural,and artistic factors behind the works.With these foundations we hope to build the framework system of aesthetic generation of Mount Heng theme landscape painting,allow readers to experience in deep the spirit of Mount Heng theme landscape paintings,and serve the regional landscape painting research.In the historical and cultural context,this research integrates and clarifies the aesthetic meaning and humanistic ideas of Mount Heng theme landscape paintings by analyzing the style characteristics and artistic creation of regional landscape paintings and constructs the logic between theory and reality.Here are the conclusions:Firstly,the creation and development of Mount Heng theme landscape painting is mainly related to its landscape culture,aesthetic meaning and practical function.The landscape culture is the antecedent of attracting painters.The artistic meaning is the motivation who encourages artistes to continue to create under this theme,and as media and carrier,the work inherits its landscape culture and artistic function.Secondly,the represented images of Mount Heng theme landscape painting are mainly divided into two types: one is the realistic objective reproduction,which shows in terms of expression techniques obvious awareness of sketching and realism,and emphasizes the reproduction of objective visual images,while the other type focus on the symbolic objective representation.The aesthetics of the picture are more subjective,free,symbolic,and abstract,moreover it tends to express the symbolic meaning and spirituality of the motif.Thirdly,exquisite taste and poetry are the main orientation of aesthetic construction,and the corresponding style of the work are naturally plain,marvelous,and romantic.Based on different perspectives and expressions,the works mainly present two representational images,which are realism and symbolism.Realism tends to reproduce the naturalness of the motif,while symbolism focuses on the visual and spirituality of the motif.Fourth,local painters and painters outside the region have different reactions to this subject.Local painters pay more attention to the appearance of regional culture.With the deepening of the experience of local painters,this theme of landscape paintings began to break conventional development trend in form,style,and meaning.This phenomenon shows the local painters' recognition and consciousness of re-recognizing the regional culture,and then the subject of the creation under the theme Mount Heng began to turn to the local.
