It is the most direct method to interpret any kind of works of art to study the creative ideas and techniques of creators. The generation of classical works of art is inextricably linked with the historical background of the creators, and the music world is no exception.Instrumental music is one of the most important expressive techniques in music art.It has a long history, and its expressive forms are also rich and diverse. In the history of music with Europe as the center, instrumental music works always confirm the progress of music history and show the musical thoughts and artistic talent of composers in various periods. As a new Music form in the 20 th century,Electronic Music rose after the end of The Second World War and swept the world rapidly, becoming the object of many musicians' exploration, pursuit and research. The emergence of electronic music is not only the product of the development of science and technology in the world, but also the expression of the progress of human civilization.Since the 1950 s,Musique Concrete represented by Pierre Schaeffer and synthesizer music represented by Karlheinz Stockhausen from Cologne,Germany,They became the two most influential groups in the world of electronic music. Thanks to the "baptism" of electronic music from these two camps, many "pioneers" from this camp became the creators of many landmark musical masterpieces in the 20 th century.Their advanced creative ideas and novel creative techniques have become the beacon for the later generations of composers to forge ahead in music creation. They included Karlheinz Stockhausen,George Ligeti,Iannis Xenakis,Pierre Boulez and others.Karlheinz Stockhausen's position in the history of music in the 20 th century is indelible, and he has left valuable experience which leads people to think deeply, whether in music creation,or in music theory and theory.Through the analysis and research of sound phenomenon itself,he established a series of opinions and theories on sound, electronic music, conventional instrumental music creation and other aspects. In 1971,he proposed four criteria for the establishment of electronic music, they are: 1.The Unified Time Structure.2.The Splitting of Sound.3.Multi-Layered Spatial Composition.4.The Equality of Tone and Noise. These personal ideas and views have exerted an extremely important influence on his future creation of electronic music and conventional instrumental music, and have provided a reliable theoretical basis. On the other hand, his theories and ideas not only have an impact on the field of electronic music, but also have a profound influence on the formation and establishment of many contemporary composers' creative ideas, which also play a leading and enlightening role in understanding this kind of contemporary music works with characteristics of electronic music for future generations. It is from this point of view, this paper will Stockhausen proposed the four criteria as the theoretical basis about electronic music, reshape and attempts to interpret what he advocated electronic music forms and characteristics, and in the contemporary instrumental music works, seeking contact with the potential to demonstrate "Crystal au Soleil Couchant-for Orchestra"(1992)from Shuya XU,"Nymphea Reflectionsfor Strings"(2001)from Kaija Saariaho, and "…zum staub sollst du zurückkehren-for seven Instruments"(2004)from Mark André,which the three contemporary instrumental works with certain electronic music characteristics.
