| Historically, every period of social transition must have innovative social and political theories. This innovation likes the phoenix's nirvana. The most advancing thought is always at the commanding heights of the time, grasping the theme, revealing the law, pointing out the direction and giving a deep inspiration to inject a strong driving force of social progress.Joseph Nye's soft power theory has been put forward for only twenty years, the theory has gone beyond the USA, and has generated a significant impact in many countries in the world, it has been developed and localized in many countries, and has become an important reference for governments to develop national policies to promote economic and social development. In a sense, the concept of soft power and the formulation of the theory not only enrich people's understanding of political power in modern society, but also have great strategic and practical significance for us to build a socialist harmonious society and harmonious world. This dissertation attempts to provide a relatively complete theoretical framework under the guidance of harmonious concept for the development of the soft power of Chinese characteristics.?. To construct a theory paradigm and logical system of soft power with Chinese characteristicsAlthough the current literature on soft power theory is rich and varied, the research perspective is relatively simple, and more contents are about one aspect of soft power, lacking of comprehensive examination and the overall study. There I saw the regret of seeing the trees but ignoring the whole forest. This also limits the development of depth and breadth of the doctrine, which is not conducive to the international exchange in the field from strategic level. And this is the important factor that impedes the function of China's soft power.On the other hand, although there are some studies trying to reach a multi-level and multi-angle theory of soft power, they attempt to give a more comprehensive interpretation and analysis, but lacking of the core concepts of the theory as its strong point and the logical starting point often makes it appear awkward, even self-contradictory. Over the years, this author has been thinking about the theory problems of soft power in China. This dissertation begins with the soft use of power as the logical starting point, advocates the concept of harmony as the core area, addresses the political value of soft power as a logical foundation, so that the cultivation of soft power resources, construction of harmonious society, foreign operations of soft power and the concept of a harmonious world could be integrated as a whole.?. To integrate the domestic cultivation of soft power and the foreign operations of it in a harmony perspective.Joseph Nye's soft power theory mainly focuses on international relations, but less involved in domestic society. Till present, many Chinese researchers have introduced the theory and continued to use Nye's doctrine in the field of international relations. They highlight the dissemination and use of soft power but neglect its development, which makes domestic research basic of the theory relatively weak, and the entire theoretical system has a sense of fragmentation. At the same time, although some researchers tried to bring soft power theory into the field of the current building of a harmonious society, which they believed to be a process of the cultivation of soft power resources. They saw the unity and coordination between construction of soft power and a harmonious society, but to the other extreme, they neglect the important mission of soft power resources in promoting the building of a harmonious world, which they are not considered from the perspective of soft power. This study is an attempt to not only unify the cultivation of soft-power resources with Chinese characteristics and the construction of a harmonious society, but also the external communication and operation of soft power resources and the concept of harmony in the world.?. To distinguish soft power of Chinese characteristics from western countries' led by the USAAt present, there are several worth thinking tendencies in soft power research in our country. For example, some researchers pursue only the so-called "Pure Theory" research, deviating from the principle of combination of theory and practice. Some scholars suggest that the core of China's soft power is cultural soft power, they even equate this two concepts. In my opinion, there is no doubt that China's soft power research should highlight the Chinese characteristics, the united states and other western countries on the use of soft power resources are very prominent of their values and the output of democracy and freedom theories, which they used as new tools and weapons to meddle in other countries internal affairs. The superiority of the socialist system is a fundamental characteristic of soft power with Chinese characteristics and rich resources, so the construction of contemporary China's soft power must also be clear-cut and raised the flag pole in reasonable, polite and restrained manner. Article should reflect the current events and do good to the development of modern society. We believe that no matter what kind of research you do, only apply your knowledge into use and be steadfast can you fulfill the mission and avoid being lost.Accordingly, this dissertation has seven parts: following an introduction, is the first chapter is about soft power theory and harmony, then the chapter two about the spirit resources and practice needs of Construction of China's soft power, the chapter three about the guiding ideology and basic principles of Construction of China's soft power, the chapter four about the resource factors and function of Construction of China's soft power, the chapter five about ways to build China's soft power, and the conclusion to build a harmonious world.Introduction focuses on the origins, ideas, meaning and method of this study, highlighting the value of this study by revealing the inadequateness of current research in this field. The first chapter focuses on two aspects, firstly, the issue of soft power theory, the paper focus on the interpretation of origins and meaning, characteristics and other theoretical issues of this theory, secondly, it studies thoughts of harmony theory and the meaning and heritage of the thought, and others, to discuss the thought of harmony and the construction of China's soft power in a symbiotic relationship. Chapter two reveals the necessity and urgency to construct contemporary China's soft power in three aspects, that is, construction of China's soft power is the spirit of Chinese culture and the requirement of building a harmonious society and developing the concept of a harmonious world. The third chapter is mainly about the guiding ideology and basic principles of the construction of contemporary China's soft power, the socialism essence of it is also illuminated in this chapter. Chapter four details the resources elements of the contemporary construction of the China's soft power, such as political resources, economic resources, cultural resources, technology resources, and military resources, this chapter also details analysis of each resource from the functional position. Chapter five is the concrete implementation of relevant contents in preceding chapters, it describes the main way of internal training and external communication to construct contemporary China's soft power. Conclusion is aimed at building lasting peace and common prosperity of a harmony world, revealing that the characteristics of China's soft power in this process are of great value and significance which cannot be replaced.In the process of writing this paper, I strove to get the correct perspective, enrich the mind, ensure the logic, and combine the beginning and the end accordingly. As an exploratory study, the completion of the paper does not mean the end of the study, rather it is just a beginning, this is a voyage with a clear direction, but never ends. In this journey, I will persevere and never slack. |
