As a new social force,this special human activity has been deeply embedded in the process of social progress,cultural evolution,economic development and even political change in many countries and regions,tourismificaiton then has become a common phenomenon in the process of social development.Therefore,the significance of interpreting the process of typical regional tourismification process is not only of practical significance in guiding scientific management decision-making and ensuring sustainable development of regional tourism industry,but also of theoretical importance as exploring the motivation of the comprehensive impact of regional tourism,understanding the generating process of tourism impact and expanding the existing tourism knowledge system.In the era of increasing mobility environment,the impact of tourism activities becomes more fragmented,diversified,complex and universal.It is necessary to manifest and systematically sort out the occurrence and development process of this phenomenon,which is of great economic and social significance.However,there is a lack of research on this phenomenon.In view of this,this study introduces the sociology of ordering to emphasize the specific means and consequences of the interaction between tourism activities and other elements.The study focuses on the tourism process of historical and cultural blocks,because tourism is regarded as an effective way to embed the traditional historical and cultural values into the new pattern of urban development and promote its own development.The cultural,living,landscape,commercial and other complex characteristics of historical and cultural blocks has made themselves a typical area for the study of the comprehensive performance of tourismification.As a unique perspective to examine the comprehensive impact of tourism,the research on tourismification under the theoretical framework of ordering sociology plans to answer the following questions:(1)what "tourism" refers to,its ontological composition,and the connotation of tourismification;(2)the general ordering modes in the development of macroscopic tourism ordering,the specific ordering modes of tourismification of specific regions,and the corresponding relationship between them;(3)the reliability of the structure of the ordering modes of tourismification in a specific region and the interaction between them.It is worth noting that regional tourismification is,to a certain extent,the staged local effect of the development of tourism ordering,so it is impossible to avoid the analysis of the macro tourism ordering of a specific region when interpreting its tourismification.In the context of this paper,it is to interpret the tourismification of Barkhor Street in Lhasa in the background of the development of tourism ordering in Tibet.According to this logic,the research is divided into 8 chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the research aim,research background,the meaning of study,the research method and technical route,and the study area and its typicality briefly.In Chapter 2,the paper reviews the domestic and foreign history of tourism and the etymology of "tourism",summarizes the research path of the existing definitions,on the basis of introducing the theory of sociology of ordering and its ontological implications,this paper discusses the rationality of taking ordering as the ontology of tourism.Chapter 3 presents the domestic and foreign definition of tourismification and the related research topics,defines the specific phenomena,the orientation of ontology and the connotation of tourismification,sets up the research framework of tourismification of sociology of ordering,and determines the appropriate methodology.Chapter 4 discusses the way and process of the development of tourism ordering in Tibet,which provides the basic structure for the interpretation of the tourismification of Barkhor Street.On the basis of combing the related research of Barkhor Street tourism,Chapter 5 identifies the basic ordering mode of tourismification in Barkhor and tests its theoretical saturation.In Chapter 6,a measurement scale of Barkhor tourismificaiton ordering mode is developed and a theoretical verification model is established.The theoretical model is tested by empirical data in Chapter 7,and chapter 8 contains the main conclusions of the study,the enlightenment to practice,the innovation,and the deficiency and prospect of the research.The research materials include text materials,interview materials,pictures,questionnaire data,observation records,etc.,and the research methods include literature analysis,content analysis,field survey,grounded theory,questionnaire survey,structural equation model and so on.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Ordering can be taken as the ontology of the contemporary tourism phenomenon.Tourism is an open,associated autonomous organizations process and result,rather than a structural emergence of some ultimate social force.While it is restricted by other orderings(politics,culture,economy,military,etc.),it also creates its own concrete and space in various fields,which has triggered a series of substantive effects in the world.(2)The development process of tourism ordering in a region presents the characteristics of scalization,stabilization and complication.Specifically,in the initial development stage,the tourism ordering of Tibet is the result of the interaction of two kinds of ordering modes,namely,productive and adaptive;in the stable growth stage,it is the result of the interaction of three kinds of ordering mode,namely,productive,adaptive,and expansionary;in the stage of quality improvement and diffusion,it is the result of the interaction of four kinds of ordering modes:productive,expansionary,adaptive and sustaining.Under the increasingly complex interaction of the ordering modes,the tourism ordering of Tibet has experienced three stages:from scratch to existence,vertical growth and horizontal expansion.(3)The phenomenon of tourismification in a region is embedded in the development process of tourism ordering on a larger scale,and there exists a corresponding relationship between them.In the process of Barkhor tourism ordering,there are 5 kinds of ordering modes which influence each other:space infiltration,industrial reorganization,personnel replacement,cultural adjustment and management promotion,and they embody the characteristics of the ordering mode of quality improvement and diffusion period of the tourism ordering in Tibet,and also the particularity of the process of Barkhor’s tourismificaiton.(4)The empirical test process of tourismification in Barkhor Street makes clear the scientific nature of the measurement tool,and the conclusion confirms the reasonability and reliability of the field survey and qualitative conclusion;the structural equation model validates the theoretical model of the Barkhor’s tourismificaiton process,proves the interactive relationship between the theoretical dimensions(the modes of ordering),and clearly reflects the core position of industrial reorganization,the expressive characteristics of space penetration,the passive role of cultural adjustment,as well as the auxiliary function of management promotion and personnel replacement.The major innovations of this study including:(1)To regard the phenomenon of tourism as an ordering at the ontological level,that is to say,tourism is no longer regarded as a marginal social phenomenon or the accessories of other mainstream structural elements,but an independent social force;the dualistic distinction between the sacred and the profane,the habitual and the unhabitual is no longer taken as the basis for explaining the phenomenon of tourism.(2)This paper analyzes the formation and process of tourismification in Barkhor on the basis of interpreting the development process of tourism ordering in Tibet.In accordance with the research ideas from macro to micro,general to special,specific to,the related concept model and measurement index system are proposed,and the reasonable connection between the general background and the specific case is realized,which makes the research process of tourismification more coherent and the research results more integrated.(3)The study provides a research model including qualitative and quantitative method,theoretical construction and empirical test for the study of tourismification.The study shows the concrete thinking path of tourismification research,which overcomes the limitation of the original methodology of applying ordering sociology theory to the field of tourism research,it gives full play to the advantages of qualitative research in construction and discovery and the advantages of quantitative research in verification and exploration,and provides a complete operation procedure for the follow-up and similar research.(4)This paper sums up the basic process of the development of macro-regional tourism ordering,and clarifies the basic mode and path of regional tourismification.In the three stages of the initial development,steady growth and quality improvement and diffusion of the tourism ordering in Tibet,the number and types of ordering modes have gradually increased.They interact with each other for the purpose of survival,development and expansion in turn,promoting the steady development of the tourism ordering from nothing to existence,from weakness to strength.Under this premise,the tourismification of Barkhor Street is the result of the interaction of five ordering ways(space infiltration,industrial reorganization,personnel replacement,cultural adjustment and management promotion). |
