The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a large-scale project under construction between China and Pakistan. The project construction has a significant impact on the local community in terms of economy, society, culture and environment. The construction and completion of any development project depends on the attitude of local residents.Perceived influence and support behavior. However, the current research related to this large-scale project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is limited and does not focus on the views of local communities in Pakistan.Within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Cooperation Organization(CPEC),this article analyzes and studies the questionnaire survey and support attitudes of local community groups to provide suggestions and references for the smooth construction of the project. The main content includes the following three aspects:Study 1 uses data collected from local communities in Pakistan to investigate support for CPEC development projects.Through 527 survey sample data, the AMOS model is used for research, and the results show that CPEC infrastructure construction is positively correlated with expected benefits and community satisfaction, and has a negative impact on expected costs.Perceived benefits have a significant impact on community satisfaction, and there is no significant relationship between perceived cost and community satisfaction.Perceived benefits and community satisfaction are also closely related to support for CPEC development.Study 2 analyzed the overall impact of CPEC infrastructure construction on community development through 771 sample Pakistani local community questionnaire survey data and AMOS model. The survey results show that CPEC infrastructure construction is positively related to the overall attitude of community development and the quality of life.Community development also has an important impact on overall attitudes, and there is no significant relationship between quality of life and overall attitudes. The overall attitude also has a positive impact on CPEC's support for development. In addition, personal interests strengthen the relationship between overall attitude and support for CPEC's infrastructure construction.Study 3 explored how the development of CPEC can influence local society's attitudes by providing advantages that trigger passive and active support activities respectively.Using 515 questionnaire data collected from local residents in Gilgit-Baltistan,the relationship between attitudes and supportive actions and the potential aspects of perceived impact were studied. The research results show that economic and social cultural influences are directly proportional to overall residential attitudes, while environmental influences have a negative impact on residents' attitudes. The general attitude of Gilgit-Baltistan local society supports the development of CPEC.The relationship between attitude and supportive action is also very positive. The research conclusions of this paper can provide some theoretical and policy guidance for the construction of CPEC projects, help decision-makers formulate policies related to CPEC projects, and optimize the attitudes and supportive actions of local communities. This research study 3 explored how the development of CPEC affects the attitude of the local society by offering advantages that trigger passive and active support activities respectively. The relationship between attitudes and supporting action is studied with the underlying aspects of the perceived impact using data collected from local residents of Gilgit-Baltistan.Using structural equation modeling on AMOS 24.0 software,515 samples were analyzed in total.Findings have shown that economic and social-cultural impacts are positively linked to the overall attitude of residence, while environmental impacts have negative effects on the attitude of residents.Specifically, the findings showed that the overall attitude of the local society in the GilgitBaltistan supports the development of CPEC.The relationship between attitude and supportive action is also found positive. This research study provides several theoretical and policy guidelines for officials of CPEC project. The implications of this investigation may help policymakers develop policies related to the CPEC project, keeping the attitude and actions of the local community in mind.
