Research On The Construction Of The Community Of Life For Man And Nature In The Context Of Global Climate Governance

Climate change is the longest-lasting,most negative and widest-reaching global challenge ever faced by human civilization.The world is currently in the midst of a century of unprecedented changes,and global climate governance occupies an important position in this century of unprecedented changes,and is also affected by a combination of political,economic and security factors.At present,the member states of the international community have a clear vision of global climate governance,but there are major differences in terms of concepts,models and pathways,which has led to a prolonged lag in global climate governance.In April 2021,President Xi Jinping,at the Leaders’ Climate Summit,put forward the idea of constructing a "community of life for people and nature" as a way to promote global climate governance."This is an important initiative aimed at promoting the sustainable and healthy development of global climate governance.As another strategic initiative of great and far-reaching significance issued by the Chinese government to the world following the idea of building a community of human destiny,the concept of constructing a community of life for people and nature is of great theoretical leading value and practical guidance for China’s climate diplomacy and the future evolution direction,development model and governance path of global climate governance.Construction a community of life for man and nature takes "harmony between man and nature" as the core value and "people-oriented and green development" as the development path.It adheres to the "systemic governance" mode of governance and the "multilateralism" approach of cooperation in the process of building the community.In the process of community building,it adheres to the governance model of "systemic governance" and the cooperation approach of "multilateralism".It is not only a contemporary expression of Marx’s idea of "true community" and the Marxist concept of ecology,but also reflects traditional Chinese cultural and political thought based on the principles of "Unity of Heaven and Man" and "Unity of Nature and Man".It is also an inheritance of traditional Chinese culture and political thought based on the principles of "Unity of Heaven and Man","Tao of Nature","Unity of Justice and Profit" and "Harmony".The global climate governance regime has undergone a transformation from the "top-down" "Kyoto mechanism" to the "bottom-up" "Paris mechanism".China’s role in global climate governance has gradually changed from a participant to a leader,which means that China will play a more important role in the future global climate governance process.From the international level,the practical process of global climate governance provides an important foundation for the construction of a community of human and natural life in terms of common interests,value consensus and mechanism construction.From China’s perspective,the improvement of China’s climate governance capacity and the results of green development have also provided necessary support for the construction of a community of human and natural life.Therefore,the construction of a community of human and natural life is not only necessary,but also feasible.Although there is a certain foundation,the construction of a community of human and natural life will certainly not be smooth sailing.The complexity of climate issues has led to many challenges in the current global climate governance process,among which the interest game between sign-parties,the value differences around climate governance and the fragmentation of climate governance mechanisms are the most representative challenges.As an important leader in global climate governance,China is gradually moving to the center of the world stage.Promoting the quality and efficiency of global climate governance is not only China’s diplomatic aspiration as a responsible major country,but also conforms to the international community’s ardent expectations for China.In the face of the new climate governance situation,China needs to respond calmly,follow the trend,take the construction of a community of life for man and nature as a link,bridge the differences in the interests of various countries,consolidate the consensus of the international community’s values,resolve the negative impact of the fragmentation of the climate governance mechanism,and integrate the national interests of each country with the overall interests of the international community,so that all member states of the international community can join hands to address the climate crisis,achieve the benign development of global climate governance,and build a global home where human beings and nature live together in harmony.
