The Spatiotemporal Features And Spacial Pattern Of The Urban Integration In Metropolitan Area

In metropolitan regionalization and regional urbanization,some urban integration appears in metropolitan areas,and has gradually become critical spatial units between the metropolitan area and metropolitan coordinating region in terms of geographic structure.At the same time,urban integration is also a high-level form of typical integration.Research on the Spatio-temporal characteristics and spatial patterns of urban integration plays an important role in the theory of regional structure and sustainable spatial development of the urban region.This is also an exploration of urban integration research at the level of the urban region.This research takes 20 metropolitan areas as a full sample of empirical research,constructs an evaluation method for the development level of the urban integration,and identifies 3 types of development levels.We select 3 typical samples based on the development level of urban integration and the relationship between cities,and analyze them separately about the characteristics of the development process of urban integration and the characteristics of the spatial structure.Then construct the spatial structure model of urban integration in metropolitan areas.Finally,put out the spatial coordination strategies of urban integration in metropolitan areas.This essay is divided into four parts.The first part established the evaluation method for the development level of urban integration.Based on the Fitness Landscape Theory and the NK model,the evaluation index system consists of 6 dimensions,18 comprehensive indicators,and 41 basic indicators.According to the evaluation results,there are mature,growing,and germinate types based on the development level of urban integration.The second part identifies the characteristics of the development process of urban integration in metropolitan areas,which can be classified as single karyotype,couple karyotype,and multiple karyotypes according to the demographic,economic,and spatial relationship.Based on the development stage of urban integration and the relationship between cities,Wuhan-Ezhou,Guangzhou-Foshan,and Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan are selected as typical samples.Then,based on the diachronic empirical research,we analyze three typical samples from three aspects: the adjustment of administrative divisions,the development stage,and the spatial evolution process of urban integration.Then,we summarize the universal characteristics of the evolution of urban integration.The third part analyzes the spatial structure features of urban integration and constructs the regional spatial model of urban integration.Based on central structure,transportation structure,ecological space structure,and land use structure,we construct three regional spatial models of urban integration: spatial topological analysis,ecological spatial identification,and spatial morphological measurement analysis.The fourth part puts forward coordination countermeasures of urban integration.Based on the universal characteristics of the process and evolution of urban integration,this research aims to solve spatial development problems.We propose the regional spatial coordination countermeasures from the four aspects,central structure,transportation structure,ecological space structure,land use structure.This research puts forward two innovation points through the four parts.First,we create a development level evaluation method,and evaluates the development level of urban integration in influential metropolitan areas nationwide.The method identifies 3stages of urban integration,namely mature,growing,and germinate.It provides tool support for the research of development level measurement,development stage identification on urban integration.Second,we create the spatial patterns of urban integration based on the physical geographical characteristics of time and space.According to empirical research on 3 typical samples,which from 4 dimensions of central structure,transportation structure,ecological space structure,and land use structure,3spatial patterns of urban integration are created.Facing the regionalization and regional coordinated development,this essay conducts a systematic empirical study on the diachronic state and common temporal of the whole sample and typical sample of urban integration of large cities in China,based on the perspective of regional space research.It promotes the development of the urban regional structure theory,and provides theoretical guidance of sustainable development and planning in metropolitan areas.
