In the era of digital economy,data has become a new production factor after the four basic production factors of land,labor,capital and technology,and has gradually become the new driving force to promote enterprise transformation and upgrading economic and social development.With the rapid development of 5G technology,big data,cloud computing,artificial intelligence,industrial internet and other new-generation digital technologies,and their deep integration with the real economy,many scholars and enterprise managers are studying and exploring the problem of promoting enterprise digital transformation.As an important pillar industry of China’s national economy,the development direction and advanced level of equipment manufacturing enterprises lead the social trend and affect the lifeline of the national economy to a certain extent.Taking advantage of the situation,many equipment manufacturing enterprises in China have begun or have embarked on the road of digital transformation and development.However,the process of digital transformation is uneven and the development level of digital transformation is different.The driving mechanism and measurement level of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises are studied,exploring the key path to promote the rapid development of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises has become one of the important topics concerned by academia and enterprise managers.On the basis of combing the relevant theoretical achievements of enterprise digital transformation,this paper constructs the measurement index system of digital transformation level,measures the digital level of manufacturing industry based on the sample data of 243 enterprises in China,and reveals the spatial differences of digital transformation in different regions.This paper explores and combs the influencing factors and specific manifestations of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises from the external and endogenous dimensions,and explains the mechanism between the specific manifestations of influencing factors on the basis of empirical test and analysis.According to the measurement results,combined with the influencing factors and mechanism of digital transformation,it puts forward the path and management countermeasures and suggestions to accelerate the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises.The main contents and conclusions of this paper include the following aspects:(1)The measurement index system of digital transformation level of equipment manufacturing enterprises is constructed.Samples of equipment manufacturing enterprises were collected nationwide to measure the overall level and regional level of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises and analyze its spatial evolution characteristics,which rounds off the Comprehensive Evaluation Theory of digital transformation level of enterprises.On that basis of combing the exist literature about evaluating the factors or indicators of enterprise digital transformation.Social science research methods such as the Brainstorming Method,field interview,literature review,Delphi Method,Analytic Hierarchy Process and so on are comprehensively used,and the measurement index system of digital transformation level of China’s equipment manufacturing enterprises is constructed from four dimensions: management mode reform,organizational structure reorganization,production process intelligence and service pattern innovation.The data of 243 sample equipment manufacturing enterprises in China were collected through statistical data review,questionnaires and field interviews.By using factor analysis and the Entropy TOPSIS Comprehensive Evaluation Method,the national and regional digital transformation level of equipment manufacturing enterprises were measured,and the digital scores of equipment manufacturing enterprises in each region were calculated under each index.The spatial evolution characteristics of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in seven regions are analyzed.The results show that most leaders of equipment manufacturing enterprises in China can realize that the digital transformation of enterprises is the general trend,as well as the importance of digital transformation,the core competitiveness and benefit gains brought to the enterprises.However,on the whole,the level of digital transformation of enterprises in our county is generally low and the transformation speed is slow.The level of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in Eastern,Southern,and Central China is relatively higher than the national average level.The level of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in Northern and Southwest China ranks second.In Northwest and Northeast China,the level is relatively lower than the national average.According to the measurement results,the ranking of the digital transformation level of equipment manufacturing enterprises in seven regions in China from high to low is South China,East China,Central China,Southwest China,North China,Northwest China,and Northeast China.The research results have important practical value for the government and enterprise managers to understand the current situation of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in China and various regions,and to put forward the paths and countermeasures to promote the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises.(2)This paper identifies the main factors and specific manifestations that affect the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises.Based on the empirical test of the specific performance of the influencing factors,explore the mechanism of the interaction between the factors,and make up for the lack of digital empowerment and innovative management theory in the field of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises.Using grounded theory and double case study method,the digital transformation of two typical equipment manufacturing enterprises,SGDL Company and SQ Group Company,are deeply analyzed,and the main factors affecting the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises are identified and extracted,and the specific performance contents of the influencing factors are analyzed,and the structural equation model is used to empirically test the specific performance contents of the influencing factors.The heterogeneity of the positive effect of each factor in promoting the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises is clarified,and the relationship and mechanism between the factors that have a significant positive role in promoting the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises are analyzed,which provides a basis for scientific and effective configuration design to promote the digital transformation path of equipment manufacturing enterprises.(3)Aiming at the measurement indicators with low scores of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in different regions,this paper puts forward the path and countermeasures to accelerate the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises,which provides strong guidance for enterprise managers and practitioners of digital transformation.Using the fs QCA Research Method,taking high efficiency and high value co-creation as the main objective,this paper puts forward two configuration paths at the macro level: first,from the perspective of promoting the high efficiency of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises,strengthening the construction of enterprise digital infrastructure,improving the informatization level of enterprises,reinforcing government policy support and guidance,enhancing the technological innovation ability of enterprises,stepping-up the cultivation of employees’ digital literacy,these five aspects of configuration can improve the efficiency of enterprises.Second,from the perspective of promoting the high-value co-creation of digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises,strengthening the construction of enterprise digital infrastructure,intensifying the construction of regional digital infrastructure,improving the digitization level of the industry,enhancing the technological innovation ability of enterprises and aiming at meeting the personalized needs of users can realize the high-value co-creation of enterprises.According to the measurement results,combined with the influencing factors and mechanism of digital transformation,this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the digital transformation of equipment manufacturing enterprises in various regions from 11 aspects,so as to continuously promote the integration of digital economy and real economy of equipment manufacturing enterprises,and integrate and apply the new generation of digital technology into the process of production management,business process transformation,service management and other process of the enterprise,continuously improve the breadth and depth of data utilization,steadily improve the digital efficiency of enterprises,and eventually realize the innovation of production,operation,management and service pattern of equipment manufacturing enterprises that are based on and driven by data.
