Historical Consciousness And Historical Text: The Writing Of "Kunming" And The Construction Of Discourse System In The Dynastic State Perio

In the 1980 s,Western narrative historical philosophy was introduced into C hina,and "historical writing" has gradually become a hot spot in domestic academic research.The historical writing research paradigm provides a new path and method for the Chinese History Studies.This research paradigm emphasizes that the historical text itself is the object to explore the process of historical discourse construction and the function of historical consciousness,which has important academic value for studying the construction of frontier discourse system.This article is an attempt to introduce the research paradigm of historical writing into the field of frontier history.Taking the historical writing of K unming of past dynasties as an example,it explores the for mation and evolution of historical consciousness during the period of the royal state and its influence on historical writing through text analysis.It should be noted that,with the establishment of Tuodong C ity in Nanzhao by Fengjiayi as a symbol,Kunming became the “city” under the concept of “central place”proposed by human geography roughly in the middle of the 8th century.However,when this article discusses the historical writing of traditional history books,it points to the“region” where the city is located,that is,the historical space where the modern Kunming city is located.The emergence and development of the city itself is not immutable or accomplished overnight,but has experienced a dynamic historical process.Take Kunming as an example : various functions of K unming city are gradually formed in different periods.Therefore,this article enlarges the field of vision to the observation of historical writing in the area of "K unming"(that is,the northeastern part of Dianchi Lake)and even the entire area of southwestern China.It is not limited to specific concepts such as names and cities.Based on the combing and text analysis of historical writings about K unming in the historical books of the past dynasties,this article explores the profound influence of the "Great Unification" ideology in the period of the royal state on historical writing.I believes that the historical text generated under the concept of "Great Unification" as a whole presents the basic historical rationality of the royal state: the logical unity of historical consciousness and historical laws.Through the specific analysis of the influence of the concepts of “Tianxia”,“Fu Shi System” and “Yi Xia” under the ideological system of “Great Unification” on the historical writing of Kunming,the following main points have been formed.First,Affected by the traditional concept of "Tianxia",no matter how the dynasty changes,the ancient Kunming area,as a part of "Tianxia",has always been regarded as the " K ing’s land ",that is,Kunming has always been under the rule of the dynasty state.This is not a writing from the perspective of a certain dynasty,but a writing on the ideal territory of a royal state constructed under the concept of "great unification".Second,under the guidance of the concept of " Fu Shi system",the history books write Nanzhao and Dali as vassal regimes that are part of the "Tianxia".Even though the Central Plains dynasty did not directly rule them,these vassal regions still did not break away from the nominal dynasty,so the "Great Unification" system is still established in writing.Third,facing the problem of cultural heterogeneity,the writing of K unming ethnic identities in historical books is constantly changing with the change of the historical consciousness of "Yi Xia".In the end,it moved from the dualistic writing of "the difference between Yi and Xia" to the unified writing of "The Huayi Family".The writing of K unming history during the period of dynasty state is an integral part of the overall history writing under the guidance of the concept of "Great Unification".The historical writing of the past dynasties reflects that the history of Kunming city has always maintained an overall connection with the great unified country.Guided by the concept of "Tianxia" and " Fu Shi system",traditional historians wrote about K unming history under the system of "Great Unification" and responded positively to the view of "Yi Xia".Finally,Kunming’s geographical affiliation,political identity,and ethnic identity were clearly defined and explained,and the discourse construction of the "Great Unification" system in the dynasty era was completed.Therefore,the history of K unming is written by historians of the past dynasties under the guidance of the historical consciousness of "Great Unification".It is about the rational development history of Kunming as a part of the dynasty state,which completely reflects the rational logic of the historical development of the dynasty state.In the context of colonial globalization,Western writing provides us with a useful reference for a comprehensive understanding of the historical writing of the Chinese dynasty.The discourse system of colonialism and the Western-centered view of Kunming’s writing is a conscious discourse construction based on colonialism and Western-centered view as the historical consciousness.The purpose is to find a reasonable cause for colonial activities,and finally realize the impact on China and the Far East.Fully colonized.We must proceed from a rational understanding,remain vigilant against this tendency of the Western discourse system,and respond positively.Based on the historical experience of the dynasty state,we can get some enlightenment from the construction of contemporary border studies discourse system.taking the protection of the core national interests as the starting point will help to consolidate the "C hina" foundation of the contemporary border studies discourse system,that is,to establish a correct historical consciousness.This is the primary prerequisite for the construction of the contemporary
