The New China(1949-1979)art slogan created unprecedented communication phenomena in terms of slogan communication symbols,slogan communication media,slogan communication strategies,slogan communicators,slogan message content,slogan communication audiences,and slogan communication functions,becoming a collective memory of national history.As a unique visual communication medium symbol,the New China Art Slogan has a distinct era symbol signifier.With its characteristics of simplicity,eye-catching,low cost,and high visibility,it brings the national will and policies to the grassroots and widest areas,becoming an important tool form for national construction and governance.It has made indispensable contributions to the establishment of the new China,the consolidation of political power,economic development,production construction,cultural and sports activities,and played an important role in guiding,regulating,and mobilizing communication for social governance and national construction.This visual medium and symbol truly record the development and social changes of the New China country.Through this medium and symbol,one can appreciate the grand scene of social transformation from the establishment of New China to the beginning of reform and opening up.Art slogans are frequently involved in political and social movements,and unprecedented and countless social groups actively and widely participate in the design and dissemination of art slogans,leaving a deep imprint on them.Based on this,the topic selection and research of this paper have certain practical significance and theoretical value.In order to deepen the study of the history of communication of New China’s art slogans,first of all,the paper starts from the literature,images,and physical objects of new China’s art slogans,carries out literature collection,physical research,and field research,and reviews,combs,and analyzes the development and evolution of the new China’s art slogans communication symbols.Secondly,through the intersection of communication and design disciplines,dialogue and observation are conducted to propose research questions,determine theoretical perspectives,and highlight research value.Once again,the paper uses historical retrospection as a discourse approach to analyze the historical and theoretical aspects of the mobilization and dissemination of new Chinese art slogans.Focus on the development and evolution of new China’s art slogan communication symbols,the construction of legibility of communication symbols,the agenda setting of art slogan communication media,strategies of art slogan communication,the composition characteristics and winning factors of art slogan communicators,the development basis and information sources of art slogan communication,the influencing factors of audience acceptance in art slogan communication Research on the historical aspects of the function of the dissemination of art slogans..Sorting out and discussing the history of communication of New China’s art slogan not only provides enlightenment and reflection for better use of slogan in social and political mobilization communication in the future,but also has more important significance in historical and cultural contributions to historical data,archival value,and the "collective memory" constructed and inherited.Provide detailed and clear historical texts for people to trace the specific communication functions and values generated during the specific period and system of New China;It also accumulates literature,methodology,and research perspectives for others to study the dissemination of new Chinese slogans.On the research of history of communication of New China’s art character slogans,this paper not only combs and protects the heritage and historical data of New China’s art character slogans,but also makes new academic contributions,makes new achievements in using communication knowledge to study China’s contemporary historical issues,and expands relevant research horizons.
