| Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County(here in after referred to as Fuchuan County)is located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.It is not only an important entrance of Xiao-He Ancient Road,but also a transport hub of major North and South.Among over 5 different languages(Dialects)spoken by different minorities,Fuyang Dialect is selected as the common language in the county.Fuyang Dialect has been classified as a dialect of the Southwest Mandarin Family,But in the aspect of the very important features,the Evolution mode of voiced initial of plosive and fricative in Medieval Chinese of Fuyang Dialects is distinctly different from that of the typical Southwest Mandarin,but similar to that of Xiang Dialect.So,the investigation and research on Fuyang Dialect is good to the further study the categorization of Chinese dialects along provincial border regions,supplementing the deeper understanding in terms of the division the Chinese dialects.The dissertation is composed of five parts:Part One,Introduction,mainly introduces the origin of the study,the content,purpose,significance,methods and steps of this study,and summarizes the relevant researches and the development trends at home and abroad.Part Two is to describe the synchronic phonetic system of 15 Fuyang Dialect spots.Then a contrast between Fuyang Dialect and relative other Mandarin Dialects is to further describe the phonological features of Fuyang Dialect,including initial,final and Tone.As to initial,the topics are: the voiced initial;Fei and Xiao;Ni and Lai;Ri;Yi and Ying;Jing;Zhi,Zhang and Zhuang;Jian and Tuan,etc.As to final,the topics are: Yinsheng Finals,Yangsheng Finals and Rusheng Finals.As to tone,the topics are: the number and value of tones;the kinds and layers of pronunciation of ancient tones read today.Some of the topics will be singled out for further discussion,including(1)the aspiration or non-aspiration of the voiced initial in Medieval Chinese when meet plosive and affricate;(2)the existence and non-existence of Jian and Tuan;(3)the split and mergence of Fei and Xiao;(4)the types and layers of Ri;(5)the types and layers of Jing,Zhi and Zhuang,and etc.Part Three is to describe the vocabulary and grammar of Fuyang Dialect.The vocabulary include two parts:(1)the vocabulary chart of Fuyang town;(2)The study of Characteristic words,including“Guan Mandarin 131Characteristic words list”and“Xiang Mandarin 273 Characteristic words list”.In order to make a better classificaiton for Fuyang Dialect,the 273 Fuyang Dialect phrases will be compared with related dialects,including:the Southwest Mandarin,Xiang Dialects,Xiangnan Southwest Mandarin Dialect and Quanguan Dialect in Northern Guangxi.It also describes the grammar of Fuyang spot,comparing some characters with that of other 14 spots,and it is composed of two parts:morphology and syntax.Morphology topics are:(1)“A不得A”adjective;(2)“法/头”affixes/suffixes;(3)“公/婆”affixes/suffixes;(4)diminutive;(5)“V人”Expression;(6)questioning sentences;(7)“开”used as the mark of aspect.Syntax topics are:(1)word order;(2)disposition sentence and passive sentence.Part Four is to discuss the attribute and categorization of Fuyang Dialect.And Fuyang Dialect will be compared with the related dialects,including the Southwest Mandarin,Xiang Dialect,Southwest Mandarin in the Southern Hunan and Quanguan Dialect in the Northern Guangxi.Based on the comparison,Fuyang Dialect is belongs to Southwest Mandarin.And the paper Fuyang Dialect,Quanguan Dialect and Southwest Mandarin in the Southern Hunan should be combined into a new branch,sub-region to “Guibei part” of Southwest Mandarin family.Part Five,Conclusion,makes a brief summary of the whole thesis and breakthrough,and providing some suggestions for further study. |
