Study On The Vocabulary Of Legal Documents In Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips

The pre-Qin period is the foundation period of China’s traditional culture,and the Han Dynasty is the transition period from ancient times to medieval times.According to textual research,Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips were written in more than 120 years after the Shang Yang reform in the Warring States period and the unification of Qin Dynasty.The unique time point makes Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips an epitome of that great historical era and an important entry point for the academic circle to study the history of Chinese.Investigating the vocabulary of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips is undoubtedly of great significance to reveal the basic appearance of Chinese vocabulary in this period and observe the evolution track of Chinese vocabulary.This paper is divided into three parts.The introduction mainly introduces the basic situation and research status of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips,clarifies the relevant concepts,explains the research value and research methods of this paper,determines the judgment standard of polysyllabic words in this paper,describes the overview of legal literature vocabulary of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips,and discusses its systematic problems.The second part is a special study on the vocabulary of the legal documents of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips under the guidance of the semantic view of Chinese traditional exegesis.It mainly includes: 1.Describe and analyze monosyllabic notional words from the perspective of frequency,semantic type and meaning distribution;2.From the perspective of word meaning development,this paper discusses the development process of monosyllabic synonyms;3.From the perspective of word formation,this paper investigates the structural features of polysyllabic notional words;4.From synchronic and diachronic perspectives,this paper systematically studies the phenomenon of synonymous conjunction;5.From the perspective of source and penetration,this paper investigates the language of legal specialty and discusses the relationship between legal language and national language;6.From the perspective of collecting words,establishing items,meanings and documentary evidence,this paper makes full use of the polysyllabic words in the literature to supplement the Chinese dictionary,and further explains the value of the unearthed documents in the compilation of Chinese dictionaries.The third part is the Semantic Classification Dictionary of the Legal Documents of Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips,which is compiled on the basis of systematically sorting out all the words of legal documents of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips.The dictionary contains 2645 entries of legal documents of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips.It adopts a four-level semantic classification system,including 9 first-level categories,51 second-level categories,221third-level categories and 596 fourth-level categories.The dictionary comprehensively presents the lexical features and internal system of legal documents of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips for the first time.Except Chapter 8 of the first part,this study is a systematic study from the perspective of typology and lexicology.Our attention to the theoretical research points such as semantic types,the level and composition of lexical system,and the relationship between system elements runs through the full text,which is the characteristic of this paper.The value of this paper mainly includes:1.The previous studies on the description of legal literature vocabulary of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips are relatively careless,while the description of this paper is relatively fine,which better reveals the internal relationship and level of semantic field,and lays a reliable foundation for relevant lexicological research.2.In order to comprehensively and carefully reflect the lexical features of the legal documents of Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips,this paper compiles the Semantic Classification Dictionary of the Legal Documents of Shuihudi Qin Bamboo Slips for the first time.3.By investigating the synonymous conjunction of legal documents in Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips,this paper reveals that in the process of synonymous conjunction,the synonymous conjunction ability of the original meaning and extended meaning of the reference morpheme is much higher than the false meaning,which is the core of the semantic formation of synonymous conjunction,which is rarely mentioned in previous studies.4.The legal literature of Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips is a precious corpus of the Qin Dynasty,which has high language value.The word form and meaning of its vocabulary have important collation and supplement value for the compilation of modern large-scale Chinese dictionaries and legal dictionaries.Using these documents,this paper makes a series of work on the Chinese Dictionary,such as entry supplement,meaning supplement and documentary evidence supplement.This work is of practical significance to improve the quality of relevant dictionaries and promote the development of dictionary compilation theory.
