A Study On The Thought And Practice Of The Communist Party Of China On The Work Of Women Militia (1949-1984)

Chinese women are a massive human resource.For every problem in the world,if women do not participate then there cannot be success.Ever since it’s founding,the communist party has always supported the expansion of the women’s movement and putting women to work.In the long revolution the party not only created the people’s army,they also created the people’s army’s most important helper.A relatively pure civilian militia.And more than half of this militia was women.However currently research on this topic is scarce and expanding it is of great importance.This paper covers Chinese Women’s Militia from 1949 to 1984.From 1949 when at the very first Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference the Militia was first passed into law as part of the Chinese Military system,to 1984 when under the People’s Republic of China’s Military Service Law the Militia and the Reserves were combined into one.This paper takes the People’s Republic of China’s Women’s Militia as it’s direction of research.This paper is divided up into seven chapters as well as an introduction and a conclusion.The introduction includes the value and the meaning of this topic.It explains the thought process behind the research the research method,the important parts of the research,and the difficult parts about doing this research,setbacks and other important matters regarding the content of this paper.The text mainly discusses the following aspects:first,based on the Marxist theory of people’s war and the theory of women’s liberation,it examines the whole process of the women’s civil army and women’s military groups appearing in the old democratic revolution,and the women’s workers,peasants and women’s groups under the leadership of the party in the new democratic revolution,from the women’s pickets,the women’s red guards to the women’s self defense forces and the women’s militia.It shows the theoretical basis and historical evolution of the work of women militia led by the party.Second,based on the international and domestic political pattern,economic conditions and local conflicts in the period of socialist revolution and construction,the party’s Thought on women’s militia work is roughly summarized into six major contents,namely,the thought that women are the new force participating in production and construction,the thought of running militia Division,the thought that all the people are soldiers,the thought of national defense modernization,the thought that preparing for war and famine is the people’s thought,and the thought that good people are good at once and on the third line.The third is to start from the two dimensions of the party’s women militia work thought and practice.On the one hand,it traces back several adjustments of the party’s women militia work at the system level,organization level and work content level during the socialist revolution and construction period and after the reform and opening up.On the other hand,it shows that with the change of the party’s women militia work thought,the party’s female militia work practice has different experiences.The development trend of the historical period.Fourth,it summarizes the characteristics and significance of the party’s thought and practice of women’s militia work.The work of the party’s women militia is not only political and mass,but also contemporary and continuous.The party’s thought of women’s militia work is the first generation of the party’s leading collective creatively applied and developed the Marxist theory of people’s war and the theory of women’s liberation,which is also an important part of Mao Zedong’s thought of national defense modernization.The working practice of the party’s women militia has played a positive role in promoting the formation of the spirit of the women militia with Chinese characteristics and the cultivation of the party’s women cadres.The Conclusion is authors thoughts on female militia and the party.The party’s leadership and woman’s consciousness and actions two interwoven strengths.Great strength from the top down,and from the bottom up combined together are all part of the beautiful song that is Chinese female citizens.
