| In the 1920 s of China, there was constant revolutionary war,and a group of female Communist Party members were active on the stage of social history. As one of the most prosperous areas in China’s revolutionary flame,Hunan has attracted a considerable number of female intellectuals to join the Chinese Communist Party New ideas and new concepts have successfully realized the transformation of social identity, and played an indispensable role in the early Communist movement in Hunan and even China. In this paper, the revolutionary knowledge women in the early Hunan area of the CPC from 1921-1927 were studied as a group.Based on the historical materials of Hunan local chronicles,Hunan personal chronicles,Hunan personal archives, women’s sports historical materials and local literature,a total of 51 early Chinese Communists were collected Relevant materials of knowledgeable women within the party in Hunan explored their studies, social activities, and marital status during the revolutionary years in full swing. An investigation of these 51 intellectual women in the early Hunan Communist Party found that most of them came from upper-middle-level families, and a few were from lower-level families. The family’s support for the material conditions of their education, new things, and new ideas is essential.Through the diversified channels such as vocational schools, government schools, private girls’ schools, and overseas studies, intellectual women within the Communist Party of China have received new education or absorbed new knowledge to become new intellectuals.Among them, the number of revolutionary intellectual women who have received secondary normal education is the largest.Affected by geography, academic relationships and family factors, these intellectual women chose to join the Chinese Communist Youth League and the Communist Party of China, and rushed to the revolutionary road one after another.Under the trend of the popular era of "revolution is above all" in the 1920 s,the social activities of the early Hunan Communist Party intellectual women mainly included women’s movements, student movements, and workers’ and peasants’ movements. In the women’s movement, intellectual women within the party promoted the development of women’s movements through the establishment of women’s publications to promote women’s movement propositions, the creation of women’s organizations to train women movement cadres, and the creation of civilian women’s schools and women’s movement workshops. In the student era, intellectual women in the party have personally participated in or organized the student movement, challenged the traditional authority of the school, and supported the patriotic movement;when they became members of the Communist Party of China, they jumped from the participants and leaders of the student movement.Become a planner of sports students and stand at the forefront of opposing imperialism and feudal warlords. In the workers and peasants movement, the early Hunan Communist Party’s intellectual women mostly obeyed the party organization and arranged to return to their hometowns to start work, establish worker and peasant night schools and training classes, and set up farmers’ associations to promote the development of the workers and peasants movement. The spouses of intellectual women in the early Hunan Communist Party were mostly male party members of the Communist Party of China, and held certain positions in the party. The parallelism of the free love concept and the revolutionary love concept, the contradiction of breaking away from the traditional marriage bondage and high degree of obedience to organizational arrangements, and the dilemma between female traditional family roles and revolutionary career constitute the characteristics of the early Hunan party’s intellectual women’s marriage and love concept. The value is more reflected in the revolutionary cause and the public sphere than in the private life of the family. The reasons for the formation of their marriage and love views can be classified into four aspects: the input of western marriage and love views, the women’s liberation ideology during the May 4th Movement, the influence of Huxiang culture, and the development of Hunan’s new education. In the early days of the Communist Party of China, the intellectual women in the party were brave to break away from the traditional constraints and actively participated in the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal revolutionary torrent. While fighting for their liberation, they are also promoting the development of traditional values of women in Hunan and even the whole country. |
