Research On The Theory And Practice Of Socialist Ideology Since China’s Reform And Opening-up

The Communist Party of China(CPC)has attached great importance to ideological work over the past 100 years since its establishment.Now,the Central Committee of CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core has put forward a series of strategic plans of directionality,fundamental and overall importance on ideological work since the eighteenth Party Congress.Xi Jinping points out: “ideological work is an extremely important work of our party,the work of fostering the heart for the country and sourl for the nation which is related to the future and destiny of the party,to the long period of stability and national unity,to the national cohesion and centripetal force.”Therefore,ideological work is a very important task and studying the theories and practice of socialist ideology since China’s Reform and Opening-up is of great significance.To conduct an in-depth research on ideological work with multidisciplinary theories and methods,we should take Xi Jinping’s theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in China’s new era as the guide,Marxist ideological theories as the cornerstone,the historical process of China’s Reform and Opening-up as a clue,the new era of economic globalization and socialism with Chinese characteristics as the background,proceed from the practical path of China’s Reform and Opening-up for more than forty years,and stick to the combination of multidisciplinary theories and practices.Marx believes that ideology,which has the characteristics of passivity,is an idea system based on certain practice of material life;In class society,as a "soft state machine",it is a tool for the ruling class to ruled classes and has the characteristics of class and falsehood;As the carrier of cultural development,it has cultural characteristics and will form cultural heritage or tradition with the demise of the ruling class.Lenin puts forward the “indoctrination” theory of proletarian ideology on the basis of inheriting and defending the ideological theory of Marx and Engels.Since the Reform and Opening-up,Deng Xiaoping has developed CPC’s ideological line of seeking truth from facts to the dialectical unity of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts,has established a new political idea and development model of building socialism with Chinese characteristics,and has completed the transformation from the revolutionary ideology of “taking class struggle as the key link” to the ideology of construction and development of “taking economic construction as the center,adhering to the four basic principles,and adhering to Reform and Opening-up”.The third generation of the party’s central collective leadership with Comrade Jiang Zemin as its core puts forward the important thought of “Three Represents”,has endowed the discourse system of the ruling party’s ideology with new era connotation,has answered the major question of “what kind of party to build and how to build the party” in the new century,and has raised the theoretical height in the field of socialist ideology.The Party Central Committee with Comrade Hu Jintao as the general secretary puts forward the socialist development theory with the scientific outlook on development as the core content,has answered the questions of what kind of development that China needs to achieve and how to develop,and puts forward that“the socialist core value system is the essential embodiment of socialist ideology”,hence,has greatly enriched and developed the theory of socialist ideology.The Central Committee of CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core attaches great importance to ideological work,sticks to the basic theory of Marxist ideology,emphasizes the extreme importance of ideological work,leads and guides of CPC to the ideological work.Since the Reform and Opening-up,in the historical process of promoting the Sinicization of Marxism,our party has constantly resisted and criticized various wrong ideological trends at home and abroad,has continuously strengthened the construction of socialist ideology,has actively cultivated and carried forward the core values of socialism,and has enhanced the attraction and cohesion of socialist ideology,has united the broad masses of the people under the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics to the greatest extent,has effectively promoted the vigorous development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and pushed it into a new era.Now,under the influence of economic globalization,great changes in the international situation and the pandemic of COVID-19,China is still facing severe challenges and tests.We must take measures to ensure the ideological security of our country: First of all,we must adhere to the correct political direction and never relax the ideological and cultural construction while strengthening economic construction.Secondly,we should carefully treat western culture,distinguish its essence and the dross,and adhere to the correct handling principles.Thirdly,we should cultivate a high-quality ideological team,constantly improve the level of science and technology,strengthen the control and management of various new media and strive for the initiative in the ideological struggle.
