| For a long time,the combat function of Chinese folk wushu has been under external observation and judgement.As the external observation is detached from folk society,the external viewpoint on folk wushu is always filtered and distorted to some extent.This study focuses on the problem of "how to operate wushu in the folk society",explores the characteristics of the folk wushu from the understanding of the folk wushu group on the art of attack and defence,and then explores the cultural and practical factors that form such characteristics,and further explains the value orientation of the folk wushu group on the level of combat.By constructing the concept of wushu people on combat,this study aims to explain the the internal logic of folk wushu and enhance its explanatory.Based on the field research of 12 chinese wushu types in Shanghai,Shangqiu,Kaifeng,Xinxiang,Foshan,Guangzhou,Taigu County,etc.,and the sorting and analysis of literature materials,interview materials and observation materials,the following findings are mainly obtained:Firstly,the folk wushu groups form their own identification with actual combating from the aspect of “Loving home and country”.In the understanding of combat,the meaning of military war creates the home-country oriented concept of folk wushu groups,and they take the aggressors as the enemies also forms the relationship between enemy and self,which makes the folk wushu people with the purpose of protecting the family and the country construct the actual combat mode.On the basis of this cultural background,folk martial arts groups believe that the target of actual combating is the enemy in the "natural" field,and they takes “attacking the enemies’ weakness” as the actual combating method,"no ritual rules" as the actual strategy,and killing the enemies as the actual combating goal.The concept of “Loving home and country” of the folk martial arts groups developed the anecdote of the martial arts sages overcoming the enemies and demonstrating the superiority of folk martial arts,defined the standard of martial arts stopping the infringement,and activated the folk martial artists’ determination of pursuing martial arts.Secondly,the group concept of the folk martial arts groups has formed their own identification with the learning from combating.The self-attribution of group concept makes the folk artists regard themselves as an amateur group on the level of martial arts combating.They have the pursuit of inter-group harmony and the image of group goodness,facing the reality to self-digest the results of combating.As a result,the status of "few" folk martial artists’ exchanges has been formed,and the characteristics of "friendship" as the premise,"negotiation" as the process,and "secrecy" as the result have been formed.Because of the group concept of the folk wushu masters,they put the morality above the combating skills,and they believed that combating ability is equal to their own efforts in actual combating and training,reaching a group consensus that all Chinese wushu is good.Thirdly,the individuality concept of the folk wushu group has formed its own identity for self-defense combating.Folk wushu masters believe that individuals need to defend themselves when facing the potential threats of illness and violence,and they need to maintain appropriate behavior and group integration to defend themselves in order to live in the world.For the consideration of the establishment and conducting of the world,the self-defense combating of folk wushu is reflected in the skill of combating in response to the combating situation,the life of combating with guaranteed quality,the combating character of the artists and the expansion of the interpersonal network.The individual perspective of the folk wushu people has promoted the diversity of the functions of folk wushu,cultivated the folk wushu people with "peaceful appearance and strong heart" by the inheritance method of "environment and culture",and formed a new standard for contemporary folk wushu masters to evaluate the combating ability with health.Fourthly,the concept of Chinese folk wushu people shows its own value and function,and it is also worth reflecting on.On the one hand,the concept of combat outlines the humanize path for the folk,through "inheriting the ancestral industry","body and soul simultaneously","the unity of knowledge and action" the direction of self-cultivation,establish their own awareness and ambition to benefit the group and the country.Under the orientation of serving the country and people,it has shaped the "universal" significance of folk wushu in the aspects of fighting function and system.On the other hand,the concept of wushu in folk wushu groups also has its merits to be reconsidered.The moral guidance of behavior norms lacks strong punishment means,which causes the deviants in the group never to stop.The value orientation of intergroup harmony makes folk wushu lose the competition mechanism,and finally forms the current situation of "weakening" combat ability.Based on the research results,the conclusions are mainly drawn as follows :First of all,the folk wushu people’s view on combat is generated by the specific situation of civil society,and the diversified characteristics of wushu are the result of the adaptation to civil society.Secondly,attribution of identity is the hierarchical basis of folk wushu combat.Different opponents make folk wushu fighting characteristics appear violent,playfulness and diversity.Thirdly,harmony and order is the strike orientation of folk wushu groups,and the balance between inside and outside is the basis of standardizing the strike behavior of folk wushu people.Finally,self-value is the progressive power of the folk wushu group’s view of fighting,and the meaning of combat is updated as its value to The Times is change. |
