era.Today,with fierce international economic competition,increasing economic uncertainty and profound changes in international economic and trade rules,how to do pressure testing in the process of integrating into the global value chain,adapt to the development direction of high degree of liberalization and standardization,improve international competitiveness and international voice,smooth the dual cycle development path,put forward higher requirements for the construction of China’s all-round opening-up pattern.At present,as a "test field" of reform and opening up and a "window" of expanding opening to the outside world,the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone has echoed by it.It is not only an important tool to improve China’s economic toughness under the background of fierce competition in the international economic pattern,but also an innovative exploration of "within the territory of China,outside the territory of the customs" in the reconstruction period of international economic and trade rules.At the same time,it is also an important path to achieve high-quality economic development in the new era.On the basis of docking with international high standard rules,the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone has formed successful experience that can be replicated and popularized to radiate to the whole country through bold trial,bold breakthrough and independent reform.The above experience is used for optimizing the business environment and stimulating the market vitality.During this construction process,it will inevitably bring changes in industrial structure to adapt to higher standard and more open and free economic environment.However,with the industrial structure adjustment of our country,there are still problems as overcapacity,low-tech lock-in and insufficient domestic demand leading to the rigidity of industrial structure and the lack of motivation for industrial structure upgrading,which makes China’s industrial development at the middle and low end of the value chain for a long time.Therefore,how to drive the upgrading of industrial structure has become the most urgent need to ignite the "engine" of high-quality economic development in the new era.The construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone can not only create a business environment suitable for the upgrading of industrial structure,but also provide an incentive and promotion mechanism for the upgrading of industrial structure and create a favorable condition for the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure.Based on the above,how to scientifically study and judge the impact of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone on the upgrading of industrial structure and obtain valuable conclusions,has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the high-quality industrial and economic development under "the 14 th five year" plan.Therefore,this article focuses on the core research question of "the impact of China’s Pilot Free Trade Zone construction on industrial structure upgrading",through the current analysis to grip the current situation of China’s Pilot Free Trade Zone construction and industrial structure upgrading,through the mechanism analysis to clarify the interactive relationship between the Pilot Free Trade Zone construction and industrial structure upgrading,and through the empirical test to explore the direct and indirect effect of the impact of the Pilot Free Trade Zone construction on industrial structure upgrading.The specific arrangements of this article are as follows:First of all,it introduces questions lead-in,research significance,research methods,basic structures,main contents,and innovations and shortcomings.Secondly,it is to sort out the relevant documents on the free trade pilot zone and industrial structure upgrading,and sort out the relevant documents on the influence of the free trade pilot zone on the industrial structure upgrading,reviewing the literature and finding the deficiency in the existing literature and proposes the possibility of expansion.Thirdly,through reference to related theories,the theoretical support basis for the research in subsequent chapters is enriched.Then,from the intra-regional,extra-regional and interregional perspectives,it analyzes the direct effect mechanism of the influence of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone on the upgrading of industrial structure.From the three transmission channels point of view of trade opening,resource allocation and technological innovation,it analyzes the indirect effect mechanism of the impact of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone on the upgrading of industrial structure.Fourth,it explains the reality of China’s Pilot Free Trade Zone construction from the overall situation,development focus and model,and explains the reality of industrial structure upgrading from the development of industrial structure,distribution characteristics,and upgrading situation,explains the opportunities and challenges brought by the construction of the pilot free trade zone to the upgrading of the industrial structure.Fifth,using the panel data of 261 cities in China from 2007 to 2019,it analyzes the direct and indirect effects of the construction of the pilot free trade zone on the industrial structure upgrading,and the robustness test is carried out by replacing the explained variables.Finally,relevant policy recommendations and research prospects are put forward according to the conclusions.The to have an important impact on the optimization and upgrading of regional industrial structure.Based on those,starting with the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone,this paper discusses the impact of the construction of the Pilot Free Trade Zone on the upgrading of industrial structure,which not only widen the research scope of macroeconomic theory,but also deepen the institutional direction of opening-up reform.Second,the innovation of index measurement.For the measurement of industrial structure upgrading,the traditional measurement method is to measure from the two perspectives of industrial structure rationalization and upgrading.It only examines the relevance of industrial structure and the degree of industrial structure moving from low-end to high-end,which can not reflect whether the goals of energy conservation and emission reduction and green development have been achieved in the process of industrial development,and these goals are precisely the
