In the era of “everything can be shared”,landlords share the idle houses with strangers through the home-sharing accommodation on the Internet, which has become a new accommodation choice for tourists. In this context, fully understanding the diverse accommodation needs of tourists, grasping motivations of the home-sharing accommodation choice and exploring the interactive relationship among home-sharing accommodation choice motivations, wellbeing, and accommodation intention of tourists, has certain theoretical significance and practical implications to promote the home-sharing accommodation own unique attraction and competitiveness.By reviewing prior research at home and abroad, this paper constructs an mediating model with moderating effect model with the home-sharing accommodation choice motivations as the independent variable, tourist well-being as the mediating variable, accommodation intention as the dependent variable and hedonic consumption and utilitarian consumption as the moderating variable, and proposes corresponding research hypotheses. In the process of empirical analysis, this paper uses Python to write a web crawler to capture the comment texts of tourists on the Airbnb’s homesharing accommodation platform and adopts the content analysis method to find out the dimensions of tourists’ motivation for choosing the home-sharing accommodation. On this basis, this paper distributes questionnaires to collect data from tourists who have the home-sharing accommodation experience, examines the summarized dimensions of the home-sharing choice motivation, and tests the relationship among the home-sharing accommodation choice motivations, tourists’ well-being and accommodation intention,as well as the moderating effect of hedonic consumption and utilitarian consumption. The research results are as follows.First, tourists have general motivations when choosing the home-sharing accommodation, which are similar to those of traditional hotels and include five dimensions, namely price affordability, environmental superiority,service-friendliness,facility comfort, and accommodation security.Tourists also have specific motivations to choose the home-sharing accommodation, which include three dimensions, namely home-like,interaction and authenticity.Second, the series for importance of general choice motivations of the home-sharing accommodation are environmental superiority, price affordability, facility comfort, accommodation security, and service friendliness. The series for importance of specific choice motivations of the home-sharing accommodation are home-like,authenticity and interaction.Third, choice motivations of the home-sharing accommodation have significant positive impact on the tourists’ well-being.Specifically,both general choice motivations and specific choice motivations of the home-sharing accommodation have significant positive impact on tourists’ accommodation intention. Moreover, these relations can be mediated by tourists’ wellbeing.Fourth, different consumption tendencies of tourists plays a significant role in moderating the relationship.Specifically, the utilitarian consumption has a significant positive moderating effect on the relationship between the general choice motivation of home-sharing and the accommodation intention. And the hedonic consumption has this kind of effect on the relationship between the specific choice motivation of homesharing and the accommodation intention. The innovations of this paper are as follows.First, the analysis of the home-sharing accommodation as a specific research object can enrich the empirical background of the research on tourist accommodation behavior.Second, the use of tourist review texts systematically reveals the generality and particularity of the home-sharing accommodation choice motivations, which expands the theoretical research on related fields. Finally, this paper explores the mechanism of the home-sharing accommodation choice motivations on tourists’ well-being and accommodation intention, pioneeringly introduces hedonic consumption and utilitarian consumption as moderating variables and promotes the expansion of tourist behavior research in the field of tourism accommodation. |
