Study on WEB GIS Formula Fertilization SystemGeographic Information System, abbreviated to GIS, has gone from its application to stand-alone computers to the use of Web GIS built on Internet-based B/S architècture. Geographic Information System first showed its capabilities in Precision Agriculture, and is now the core of Precision Agriculture. Formula Fertilization(Fertilization Based on Soil Analysis or Balanced Fertilization)is the basis of Precision Agriculture. The dissertation researches on how to combine the Technology of Formulated Fertilization with Web GIS System as to establish an Expert System for agriculture industry.Agricultural information technology is increasingly promoted. However, it is impossible to collect agricultural information in a planned and controlled way since agricultural information is scattered because of status quo of agricultural development in China. The responsibility system of family planning in Chinese agriculture makes it even more diversified and complicated in information collection of soil conditions, types of crops, and means of cultivation. Aiming at the establishment of Web GIS for facilitating farmers'operation, the thesis discusses the trend for developing Web GIS and the commonly used Web GIS development platform. By studying the gains in formula fertilization and Web GIS technology, the dissertation centers on collecting, storing and analyzing the information on the realization means of Web GIS in formula fertilization, the properties of soil, plant of crops as well as fertilizers.With summarizing data collected from investigation, the dissertation analyzed the user demands for Web GIS Formula Fertilization System, discussed its data structure, made out its developing flow, and accomplished the development of Garlic Formula Fertilization System.As a foundation work of developing and researching Web GIS Formula Fertilization System, the dissertation underpinned its final fulfillment.
