Coal gangue is a kind of rock with combustibility among coal seam or surrounding. As a industrial waste coal,it is discharged from coal mining and coal preparation process. Every year, a large amounts of coal gangue was discharged from coal mines in our country, most coal gangue was piled up and took up a lot of land resources, and it can pollute the surrounding environment, make the residents in danger.Because the coal gangue contains certain combustion values,we can make it useful through smash it and mix it with the coal as fuel. Then,it also can save a lot of high quality coal. So,in order to promote enterprise, especially in thermal power plants,to actively use the mixed fuel of coal and coal gangue,our country operated a series of preferential policies.Then, how to accurate, rapid analysis of the mixing ratio of coal and coal gangue has become the problem for the testing department to resolve.Based on differentγ-ray attenuation coefficient between coal and coal gangue,we determined the maxing ratio of coal and coal gangue. Use Low energy Am241 asγ-ray,we discuss the performance of several common detectors and their advantages and disadvantages in detail. The experimental system use ORTEC multi-channel analyzer card to collect and process the count values. We use the least square method to process the date error and use linear regression to calculate the date.Finally, we describes the deficiencies of this experiment and the future possible direction of development.
