Design And Implementation Of Earthquake Prediction System Based On GIS

With the rapid development of spatial database technique and spatial index technique, GIS (Geographic Information System) becomes a hotspot of database research, which has begun to be applied to many various fields. Spatial data have the characteristics of huge quantity, complicated instruction, involving to attribute data. And have shown the different data types following the different reflective geographical entities.This paper, based on the study of Spatial object Ordering,Point quad-tree ,MX quad-tree, Quad-tree index from the basic techniques of Spatial index, And then it researches mainly Spatial K-D-Tree,The R-Tree,The BSP-Tree,The Grid File,Z-Ordering and Hilbert curve. Then, the data modeling and management of system are introduced; In particular, the MapInfo, geocoding and projection, MapInfo data, MapInfo chart, MapInfo data files, basic data layers, map layers, seismic system layer are mainly introduced . Meanwhile, Oracle Spatial database applications in space are simple introduced.On the basis of above researches, Earthquake Prediction System with foundation of GIS is designed and implemented. At the same time, the papers focus on System design and Functional system in this project, especially, the development methodology of project on GIS: Independent development,Development of a simple second time and Integrated development of two times. It explains their merits, faults and integrated development used in this system. MapX, as standard secondary development technologies, similar with development technology of exploring language against relevant introduction, do a summary of this project.Because Earthquake Prediction System mainly analysis the design of the current system based on GIS. The main function of the system includes basic graphics zooming,opening,roaming,removing layers,adding layers of spatial data and fixing position based the analysis of latitude and longitude and so on. At the same time, the paper introduced the current GIS data source, combined with the system, the data source of seismic detectors and the data transfer and follow-up treatment are illustrated.The paper refers that the process of research and exploring of GIS have completely shown based on the analysis of data with a major point, combination between implementation tools and GIS components, which has a main line, the exploring of special project.Finally, The paper summaries the contents of the system, and also describes the relevant work of the follow-up in the future.
