Taxonomy Of The Genera Folsomides, Heteroisotoma And Semicerura (Collembola: Isotomidae)

The present dissertation summaries the history and the main taxonomical characters of family Isotomidae, including recent advances of sensillar chaetotaxy and structure of outer mouth part. In the dissertation, more attention is paid to the genera Folsomides, Heteroisotoma and Semicerura. I describe 1 new species(Folsomides kaifengensis sp. nov.), 1 new record species to China(Folsomides parvulus Stach,1922) of Folsomides,2 new species(Heteroisotoma chinoorossica sp. nov., Heteroisotoma sinorossica sp. nov.) of Heteroisotoma and 1 known species(Semicerura goryshini Martynova,1969) of Semicerura. Keys to species of genera Folsomides and Heteroisotoma are given.Heteroisotoma and Semicerura are closest in morphology because of the presence of spines on dens, so this dissertation researches the taxonomical position of the two new species: Heteroisotoma chinoorossica sp. nov. and Heteroisotoma sinorossica sp. nov.. Here, the genus Heteroisotoma is rediagnosed, discovering three additional processes on the labial palp, and which is proposed as a new useful taxonomical character.
