Thunderstorm is a kind of intense weather phenomena occurred in the atmosphere, which is often accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain, hail and other weather phenomena. Compared with other disaster, thunderstorm has the properties of the transient time distribution, local and dispersed seasonal and spatial distribution with very large destructive force, so it is one of the natural disasters with enormous damage, resulting from lightning, hail blocks and strong winds, flash floods and so on. It threatened the safety of human life, and often a crushing blow for transmission and communication facilities, building, aircraft, vans, crops, etc. With the development of modern science and technology as well as economy, Disasters are increasing due to thunderstorm. So it is important to improve nowcasting and warning thunderstorm to prevent and reduce disaster from thunderstorm, and protecting people's lives and property.This paper investigate nowcasting and warning of thunderstorm, through adopting routine meteorological data, infrared satellite cloud picture, TBB data, Radar echo data, observed thunderstorm data of Jincheng etc. Firstly, four kinds of favorable large-scale conditions for the occurrence of strong thunderstorms are summarized, and on the basis of this, all kinds of environment parameters are introduced. The feature of infrared satellite cloud picture and radar echo are discussed. Secondly, characteristics of thunderstorm temporal and spatial distribution in Jincheng are analyzed. Thirdly, this thesis demonstrate the practicality of the large-scale conditions, environment parameters, infrared satellite cloud picture, TBB data, radar echo and so on, through analyzing two strong thunderstorms in 2010. Finally, strong thunderstorms nowcasting and warning process is established.
