With the rapid development of spatial information science, the remote sensing (RS) images are used more and more widely in all areas of the society. But, because of the difference of the market demand and the application range, the satellite remote sensing and airborne remote sensing can not cover the area completely, so the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) remote sensing is used to supply a gap, which is more flexible, more convenient and lower expenditure. The wide application of UAV will inevitably produce a large number of RS images, as a result, how to manage these data is a hot fields.(1) In this paper, we describes the basic method of UAV RS image processing, analyze Some ways of storage management of the raster image data, and make a in-depth analyze and compare between two of them, one is based on ArcSDE, a middleware, the other is Oracle Spatial database. And determined to use Oracle Spatial GeoRaster to build the database of UAV remote sensing images.(2) This paper focuses on the research of UAV RS image database technology which is based on object-relational database. And make further explored on object-relational data model that extended by GeoRaster. According to the character of GeoRaster, we accomplish the key technology of the spatial reference, image blocking, image pyramids building and spatial index of the UAV RS image database, and achieve an efficient storage management based on the object-relational data model.(3) Finally, this paper develops the UAV RS image database system of C/S architecture, and implements the storage, inquiry and management of the UAV RS image.
