Because of late introduction and slow development, traditional document management model has been restricted the pace of military surveying and mapping navigation information. With the development of the Remote Sensing technology, Digital Photogrammetry technology and Global Positioning System technology, with the proposed of Digital Elevation Models, Digital Orthophoto Map, The amount of available spatial data is expanding continuously and the kinds of available spatial data are increasing ferquently. It is necessary to store and manage the spatial data efficiently, reasonably and safely.In this paper, the author design and develop the implementation programs of the mapping and navigation information management system, to slove the problem of safe and efficient application under LAN environment. The development of this system based on C/S model, under NET 2003 environment, ly large data and information storage management system Oracle relational database.The first, In order to solve the problem of production, management and data sharing, in this paper,based on the characteristics of the current mapping and navigation information, author study the way of managing mapping and navigation information standardized and unified, at the same time proposed the design principle of system.The second, In this system, to address the data management and sharing, select the Oracle database implementation of the navigation data and information storage management, not only from the memory allocation, data structures and programming point of view to achieve the optimization of the database, but also through the log management, file Comprehensive protection and other means to improve the security of the database.The Third, In order to get a Digital Orthophoto Map, the author widely studied and compared the digital photogrammetry technology, finally proposed a Spacial View full digital photogrammetric system, based on this to generate the Digital Orthophotos Map.The mapping and navigation information management system designed in this paper, achieved the results of the unified management of surveying and mapping information, not only provided the building database, conversion, download, browse, query, editing, metadata management and a series of results data management capabilities, but also with full digital orthophoto map generation capacity, with wide application and development prospects.
