Beauty And The Development Of Natural Science

Science includes natural science and social science ,here science is confined to natural science. In this paper I intend to discuss the functions of the aesthetic elements in the development of science .The practice of science is one of the age-old practices. It has been along with human being since the birth of human. But science is still an enigma to people. On the whole science is the course of cognition ,and also it is an organizational system. Many factors influence its development. But one of the important elements -beauty has been overlooked. In this paper I remind people of the functions of the aesthetic elements. So we can fully understand how scientists discover, put forward, evaluate, accept, perfect theories . It enriches our cognition of the development of science. At the same time helps us understand the essence of science and the problem engendered during the application of science.This paper consists of four parts .On the basis of the former theoretic studies the first part defines the aesthetic elements (such as the faith of scientific beauty, the aesthetic feeling of science, scientific beauty)in the development of science and illustrates the theoretical basis of the essay .The second part lays stress on how the aesthetic elements exert function in the course of the discovery of scientific law. The third part discusses the functions of the aesthetic elements in the system of science and during the history of the development of science. The content includes the function to scientists, environment, and the apply of science. In the last part ,the essay points out the relation between the education of aesthetic and the innovation of science.
