In the field of resource and environment science, digital image processing technology is anew advanced technology. It is a comprehensive technology that transforms, simulates andemulates spatial discrete data, and expresses spatial information models with pictures, solves theanalysis of natural processes, then provides us with the basis of management and policydecisions. Using comptlter as the tool, referencing Geographic Information System (GIS), basedon the data of l/200,000 geochemical exploration and remote sensing, this dissertationresearches in the data image processing methods, and accomplishes automatic searching andlocating abnormity of geochemical exploration, providing basis of series minerals prediction.With processing of the remote sensing images, structural lines are picked, and the mineraliZationconditions are determined.Mineralization conditions are multiple, abnormity of geochemical exp1oration related withthe symbiotic association of the elements in the main mineralization is also multiple. Theassociation of different elements appears some optimum proportion under the mineralizationconditions, known as ration composite anomaly. Making use of multivariate statistica1 analysismethod of mathematical statistics, the ration composite abnormity mode1 is established. Weexpress dispersed geochemical exploration data in image form, and make optimum estimates ofunknown values with known values. Cormecting with spatial geographic information systems,image attTibute library is constructed by using distance squares reciprocal method, trend surfaceinterPolation grouding on Windows algorithm, and via series of processes. The pictures aremanaged, operated on, and calculated by a set of function modules, and with tTend analysis,abnormity and geological background is expressed in image form, and multipIe functions, suchas automatic searching for abnormal location,query and evaluation, are accomplished.On basis of inierpretation to the TM images of the researched area, we utilizecharacteristic infOrmation picking techniques, such as ratio technique, self adaPtingenhancing, spatial filter, to pick up the information of the geologic structure androcks. Combining the geochemical properties of the elements and the ore cofltrolconditions, we analyze the mineralization conditions of the researched area,predict the mineral resources in the area, and put oot the geologic remote sensingprediction mode, block out the target region of mineralization.
