Based on the regional geochemical data from 1:200,000 Yuanyang Sheet Regional Geochemical Exploration taken charge by author, by means of modern mineralogy, mineralization and geochemical theory, author study the optimum estimate and characteristics of Au geochemical abnormity in regional geochemical exploration and methods of seeking ore in field in this paper, and emphatically study a typical example: Niubo Au geochemical abnormity in Luchun County, Yunnan Province.Optimum estimate of Au geochemical abnormity in regional geochemical exploration mainly face to actual work in field. Optimum estimate of abnormity based on experiential analysis mainly range all abnormity according to statistical mark of eight items as below: ① strength of abnormity, ② area of abnormity, ③ contrast of abnormity, ④ scale of abnormity, ⑤ assemble and zoning of elements, ⑥ strength zoning of abnormity, ⑦ geological setting of mineralization, ⑧ mineral resources. Niubo Au geochemical abnormity in Luchun County is located 23th in whole area and 9th in local area according to above rules, and it's statistical type is A, and potential type is second. The strength center of all elements overlapped is considered as an important index in optimum estimate of Au geochemical abnormity.Abnormal characteristics of Niubo gold deposit determined by model analogy is as below: As-Sb-Hg-Cu as elements of front halo, Au-As-Sb-Hg-Ag-Pb as elements of ore-body halo and Mo-W-Cr-Cd as elements of back halo.Good effect of seeking ore relies on integrative and neat use of many methods in field work.The technique, analyzed results ranged from 4ppb to 10000ppb and content request of finding ore in field work, of rapid simple Au analysis in spot ought to be used in field work of finding ore. The way is an effective method in increasing effect of seeking ore.Gold not only tend to concentrate in coarse incompact sediment but also in fine.
