The core of the gravity and magnetic data interpretation is inversion problem, namely, forecasting the position of the sources when the geological and geophysical information is insufficient. In view of the limitation of the traditional inversion theory and method of the gravity and magnetic field, Professional An Yulin, etc, worked in China University Of Geoscience, has come into being the theory system of the all-direction imagery for local gravity and magnetic sources after having researched a few years. The theory system broke through the thinking method of traditional theory system, researched all-direction imagery of the 2D local gravity and magnetic sources by means of complex function theory and researched all-direction imagery of the 3D local gravity and magnetic sources by means of spherical harmonic analysis theory, developed greatly the interpretation theory on the gravity and magnetic field. It can be used to resolve many inversion problems of 2D or 3D local gravity and magnetic sources which extension is finite by inverse directly and iterative modificationScientific visualization is a theory, method and skill that translated the data during or after the computation into graph or image, displayed them in the screen and transacted interactively by using the skill of computer graphics and image process. The form of scientific visualization resulted from the rapid progress of the currently science and technology. The signification of the technique revolution brought out by the computer is rest with which the technique revolution introduced into the third kind of computation method after the experimentation and the theory.Scientific visualization can be used to translate the digital information which has been related to or produced in numerical simulation into static or dynamic image which is direct, comprehensive and interactive, showed in the form of graphics or image. Scientific visualization can make the researcher quicken and deepen the cognition of the simulate object, find the new phenomena which can not usually be found by the digital information, accordingly, heighten the work efficiency and gain the unexpected elicitation or inspiration. It can also make human lead or control the computation process, and alter the computation condition and observe it's influence.The paper's main content is the visualization of the local gravity and magnetic sources which is a subject of an item named "The Deepen Research The Theory On All-direction Imagery For Local Gravity And Magnetic Sources" which is sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China. The applied program for the 3D local gravity and magnetic sources is developed by using VC++ and OpenGL under the circumstance of Windows operation system.The visualization applied program can be used to render accurately and quickly the graphics of the 3D local gravity and magnetic sources and the terrain on thecondition of complex terrain. The program can uncover the spatial extension law of the 3D local gravity and magnetic sources, the user can decide to terminate the boundary inverse or modify the parameter and continue the inverse according to the 3D graphics. In the other hand the program's translating the abstract inverse result of the all-direction imagery for local gravity and magnetic sources which is the spatial location and the shape of the field sources into the direct and visual graphics will lend itself to popularize and apply the theory of all-direction imagery for local gravity and magnetic sources in society.
