Stereographic projection is an excellent diagrammatizing tool to project tridimensional objects to plane, which illustrate the spatial relationship between tectonic objects. Stereographic projection and the structural-fabric's parse based on Stereographic projection is the most important method in tectonics. After we compared and appraised the software home and abroad about Stereographic projection, we bebgined with the research work on 3D visualization in Stereographic projection.Depending on three-dimensional modeling tool such as 3Dmax and OpenGL language, the system build three-dimensional scenes, which intuitionisticly illustrate the spacial geometry relationship between structural elements. The system shows the perspective relationship between structural elements through three-dimensional perspective projecting sphere. At the same time, the software generates the plan view which is linked to the perspective view. Also the software illustrates some structural parse through interactive way employing three-dimensional models.The software uses the object-oriented analysis and design technology, which is easy to reuse and extend.
